  I was there in sep. 2015 and really nice place and room..Excluding the hotel owners and employees there; the hotel was fine and also the price..I recommend this for istanbul travellers.. in the mid of Istiklal and was very cheap..Please double check the price first comparing with 2 stars level it is very nice with good breakfast..I wish to come back again there..

  I have used Devran otel for 15 years whenever I visit Istanbul. It might not be the coolest hotel in the area but for me the most important things are the location, which couldnt be better. The fact that I have never had any trouble while staying there. And that the staff is always helpful and makes me feel welcome.

  Noisy and dirty hotel.

  I stayed at the hotel for weekend in March. When i checked in, the guy at the receptinon tried to fooling me with price. As the result me settled in another room, than i chose on the site. The room was dirty and smoky. The shower is not separatted from the toilet, so wet on the floor. There is the club 5 meters from the hotel' door. Bass was hear all night.Breackfast was terrible.

  Good location but the room was really dirty. The AC was very ok other than the strange noises. The tv remote was so sticky that I didn't touch it for the three days I was staying there. The beds were extremely small. The are several amazing restaurants right beside the hotel and it's within walking distance to Taksim.

  This is a budget located hotel in fantastic location, but not very pleasant place to stay.As someone who has stayed in probably over 50 different hotels in Istanbul, I would definitely not stay here again.Upon check - in , my booking made through booking.com was converted from Euro to Turkish lira at a rate of 2.85, knowing this was incorrect I pointed it out and the receptionist got quite angry, the rate should be about 2.5, which a hotel I stayed at 3 days earlier used. This added about 12% to my room charge which I was most unhappy about.I have spent the last 4 years living on and off in Istanbul and have been bitten by a mosquito twice. I have spent many evening in bars and restaurants surrounding this hotel and stayed at numerous hotels less than 50 metres away. This hotel has a BIG mosquito problem, I observed other guests complaint at breakfast about it too. I bought a plug in mosquito repellant, I sprayed copious amounts of raid in my room and covered my body in repellant. One night I was bitten in my room over 40 times in spite of this. On a morning the room was thick with Mosquitos, all full of my bloodBecause if the mosquito problems i would NEVER stay here again or allow am of my friends or family to stay here either. The staff were aware as they gave me a huge can of raid when I complained.The rooms are very shabby and sheets and blankets don't smell too good.Breakfast served here is ok.However, after being ripped off at check-in and mainly because of the Mosquitos I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
