    Very kind and helpful staff

    rating20 Sept 2018

I stayed here for a couple of days. The rooms were fairly small (but adequate) as you'd expect at this price, and were clean, quiet, and a 5 minute walk to the Aksaray tram and metro stops. The free breakfast was good and promptly served every time. The staff were all very helpful with various requests. When I came back to Istanbul a few days later having taken a night bus before my flight later that evening, they even let me leave my baggage at the hotel for several hours and charge my phone battery even though I was not staying there that day. Much appreciated!

Average hotel with mostly worn out furniture

    rating24 Apr 2016

I stayed at this hotel twice, the first time was 3 years ago with 4 family members. The first time it was ok, and the second time the same. The furniture and the sheets need some updating. The breakfast was fine. the people at the hotel are mostly friendly. The problem with this hotel is the noise, lots of noise from the mosque and also street noise. Also the walls between rooms are thin, so you can hear everything going on in the next room and the room above you. Would I stay at this hotel again, no.

    Great value, location, and staff

    rating08 Oct 2014

I will certainly stay at the La White on my next trip to Istanbul. It's located within an easy walk of the Aksaray tram and subway stations and is a straight no-change shot from the airport. Its location puts it with an easy tram ride from Sultanahmet (the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazar, the Haggia Sophia). The staff is personable, friendly, and always available. My room, No. 401, was small but clean with a comfortable bed and bedding, good water pressure and temperature, and modern fixtures. I stayed there for three nights in October 2014,All this is delivered for a very reasonable price.I docked two stars for simple maintenance and security problems that could easily be addressed. The shower curtain was mildewed. The quarter-round floor molding was loose and laying on the floor. Electrical fixtures--including, alarmingly, the one in the bathroom--have come loose from the wall. On one occasion, I returned to my room after it had been made up to find my door unlocked. (The doors do not lock automatically.) This was just a one-time oversight, and nothing was taken from my room, but was disturbing nonetheless. These were exceptions to a generally very good experience. I look forward to staying there again.

    Perfect location

    rating12 Sept 2014

Clean, comfortable hotel in Aksaray, near tram and metro. Stayed here twice in May 2013 and May 2014, second time coming from the metro I was disoriented because the bridge over the tram tracks had gone ! Rooms a little small but perfect for a solo traveller, comfortable bed and adequate bathroom. Breakfast plated probably due to space constraints, but adequate.Aksaray is an interesting neighbourhood, with restaurants serving unusual cuisines like Georgian and Uzbeki, and a lot of fascinating small shops and businesses.

Nice little hotel in not so nice neighborhood

    rating11 Apr 2014

Hotel La White in Aksaray, part of Istanbul where you don't want to go to do sightseeing is a reasonably priced, little, pretty cosy hotel, recently renovated. The room I stayed in was very small, but since I don't mind the size of the room I stay in, I didn't find it a problem, even for a quite tall guy like myself. Even the shower that is placed between the toilet and the sink worked perfectly fine for me. In room you'll find a LCD TV, small fridge, hairdryer, a phone, a closet. Usual stuff. The downside was the noise that you can hear from the staircase and from the outside, since there were some construction works going on every single day. Another issue is the level of knowledge of English by the hotel employees. Some of them knew it so-so and some not at all, because, as much as I was told, it's part of the city where mostly Russian tourists stay, so they don't bother with English speaking tourists. The location of the hotel is almost perfect. Close to both metro lines and to tram, so you can be to almost any part of the city in 10-20 minutes. All in all, for the money I paid, I doubt I could find a better, yet cheaper place to stay.
