  Staff are all very pleasant and helpfull.Dinner was very good, very good red housewine? Very good value for money.The building itself has seen better days and needs some refurbishment in and outside, therefore an average rating.   Arrived late at the hotel and was greeted pleasantly and went straight to my room. The hotel has definately seen better days and could do with following some basic cleaning routines and decoration. There was clearly an odour problem with the room and some very crude holes had been drilled into the mantel of the door to allow for better airculation. There were no curtains just an outside drop down blind which had not been cleaned on the inside for years. Absolutely fithy. The bathroon had mould on and between the tiles and there was evidence of water ingress on the ceiling. No tea making equipment in the room which is a first time ever for Campanile. Hotel charged more than the price on the website. The internet did not work until 9am becasue of an admin error by the person booking me in. I was booked out as I was booked in and could not use the internet. Morning staff were fine but I did not feel like risking breakfast. The hotel is described as being 600m from the motorway. This must be a crows flight measurement because it is not!   Staying here as we speak, the whole place needs re-furbishing, The room is tatty, with the curtain half hanging of, the sealant is cracked in the bathroom, and the toilet bowl is chipped, all the door frames look like a dog has chewed them, the windows are dirty.Outside is no better, cracked concrete etcI will not be staying at Campanile againOnly good thing is that the bed has nice clean sheets DELCROIX Fredéric, General Manager at Campanile Villefranche Sur Saone, responded to this review Dear Guest,We sincerely apologize for the disappointments you are experiencing during your stay.   A welcome relief after a long days riding and a known quality .A good standard of food in their own restaurant in the evening helps the day end well along with a few beers.Good sound proofing and metal shutter on the window ensure a quiet secure night.   Nothing special, it’s close to the highway, that’s the advantage.

  We stayed here with three persons in a room on the ground floor. Parking right in front of the room. The bed was very comfortable but the rest of the room was a bit outdated. It’s a pity that you could still smell that it was once a ‘smoking room’. Friendly staff and very close to the highway.
