    Honestly one of the BEST hotels in Istanbul 🤍✨ Marriott Hotel Şişli truly deserves more than 5 stars! From the security team, reception, housekeeping, room service, and literally every single staff member, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, helpful, and always smiling. What I loved the most is that most of the staff speak and understand English very well, which made everything so easy and comfortable. No matter what you ask for, they help with genuine kindness and positive energy without ever making you feel uncomfortable. The rooms are super comfortable, the cleanliness is outstanding, and the service is honestly top tier. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING, so many varieties and everything was delicious every single day 😍 A very special thank you as well for the complimentary upgrade to a higher floor room, it genuinely made our stay even more special and made me so happy 🤍 Huge thank you to the wonderful Marriott Şişli team for making our stay this memorable.     We had a layover in Istanbul so we decided to stayed for 5 days to tour the city. Marriott lived up its reputation to provide excellent services including making reservation of shows, tours; suggestions on local shops, restaurants. The breakfast is also excellent in showcase the variety of local cuisine. The executive chef even took his time showing me how soup is made. Thanks for the explanation so I understand the good flavor takes long time to prepare. If you stay for more than a day, definitely check out their swimming pool and jacuzzi. There is also hammam you can reserve. Lastly I want to thank very helpful concierge staff, Bahadir, Mehmet, Zamil . Thanks for the hospitality. We will surely return to visit in the future. Sorry for penning a late review.Although we were initially disappointed with the tour we had booked, Mr. Bahadir went above and beyond by taking extra time and personal effort to assist us in resolving the matter with the travel tour provider. His dedication, patience, and professionalism made a significant difference and truly reflected exceptional customer care.Serpil was equally outstanding.     Outdated property and disappointing lounge experience, despite helpful staff

    I stayed 2 nights at Istanbul Marriott Hotel Şişli while en route back to SFO, choosing this hotel primarily for Executive Lounge access. Unfortunately, the overall condition of the property felt dated and in need of attention, and the lounge experience was not up to the standard I expected from Marriott.The hotel appears overdue for refresh and repairs. Several areas looked worn and not well maintained. In the room, the curtain controls were not functioning. Carpets near the elevator were uneven, and the hallways felt noticeably dark. Overall cleanliness and upkeep did not reflect a premium Marriott experience.The Executive Lounge was also a major letdown. The coffee machine produced subpar coffee, and the water tasted unpleasant—suggesting the filter may not have been maintained. During breakfast, the fruit juices did not taste fresh, and my mother later experienced stomach issues, which made the experience even more concerning.That said, there were positives. The room itself was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and I want to recognize the service team—especially Kaan in Guest Services—who was genuinely helpful and accommodating. Our housekeeper was also kind and attentive.I’m a Titanium Elite member with a hospitality background (I’ve taught at UNLV), so my expectations are based on both loyalty and industry standards. Given the condition of the hotel and the lounge shortcomings, I would not choose this property again and would recommend considering alternatives—next time, I would have stayed at JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus / Galataport instead.
