  I had a terrible experience with a hotel! I accidentally booked a room and they charged me $539.59. Just two minutes later, I realized it was a mistake and reached out to the hotel to ask if they could cancel my reservation and not charge me a fee. Instead, they went ahead and charged me the full amount anyway, and they aren't working with Booking.com to give me a refund. It seems like they are just trying to take my money for no reason! This is how Turkish customer service looks like!

  Fabulous and exactly what we needed.

  It s our third time in Istanbul and the third time we ve stayed here. It s a small Turkish hotel which is just our thing, we don’t like large corporate type of hotels. It s a great location as it s next to the Marmaray line at Sirkeci so the transportation links are fantastic but as it’s underground you don’t get noise from the trains. It’s a close walk to the tram and waterfront. Beds are good size and comfortable, bedding good quality and rooms are very clean and Turkish design. Shower is very powerful with plenty of hot water . It has a roof terrace where you can sit with fabulous views of the Bosphorus. Breakfast is a vast spread of fresh local food which is freshly prepared. No matter what your taste for breakfast is there will be something for you. The staff are all exceptionally good and helpful. We ve been going to this hotel since 2019 and we were really pleased to see that one of the original staff members who invariably was stuck with us arriving in the middle of the night was now the day manager. I’ve never had any complaints with any of the staff but he was on another level. He was proactive at breakfast, checking the supply of food, refilling if necessary, moving tables to accommodate different groups, he was always on the go in a very proactive way. I would certainly have him as my manager if I had a hotel that s for certain. If you needed something it was sorted with no fuss. As usual we were gutted to be leaving.

  Breakfast is a disaster. He turned on the water from the faucet near the living room. The omlethad black sports, they reused it from the plates. The staff at the reception are very rude, very dubious people. After he took the money from my card for the first night, when I arrived at the hotel and saw the room, I communicated that it didn't match what I paid, the answer is that I can leave if it doesn't suit me.GRADES ARE NOT JUSTIFIED FROM OTHER PAGES.

  Second time in Istanbul, second time staying at the Istasyon Sitel.

  Small and typically Turkish Hotel which we love. Welcoming staff, fabulous location, 2 minutes from the station, 5 minute walk to the ferry port so easy access to everything you can need with done great little restaurant s down the side streets, oh and the breakfast is fabulous. We wouldn’t choose to stay anywhere else in Istanbul! Can’t wait to come back.

  Due to the pandemic we were unfortunately not able to visit the hotel. I finally managed to get in touch with the hotel for a refund however the hotel owners were not forthcoming and refused to pay any part of the refund.
