  My sister and I had an outstanding experience at Karakoy Aparts Hotel. The entire staff was warm and professional, but what truly made my stay exceptional was the personal attention and care from the manager, Ugur Uzun and his assistant.They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect — from arranging a smooth check-in to personally checking in to see if I was comfortable during my stay. It’s rare to find a manager who takes such a genuine interest in guests’ experiences. I will certainly go back and highly recommend this place.

  My friend and I went for a massage at this establishment on June 5, 2024, around 9 pm.While we were looking for information, the man at the entrance welcomed us and offered a massage deal for €65, which included access to the spa. We wanted a foot massage, so we paid €85 per person for two packages. He gave us a tour, and everything seemed to be going as planned.A woman first invited us to change in the room where we were going to be massaged. Then, two women (probably Maghrebian and Indonesian) entered. Without a word or explanation, one of them tapped on the bed to indicate that I should lie down. She asked me what languages I spoke, and I responded "French and English". From that point on, the two women began conversing in Turkish and Arabic. We could no longer hear the music or relax because they were talking loudly and laughing. The situation took a turn for the worse when we realized they were talking about us. They wondered if we were Somali, said we smelled bad (several times), and made derogatory remarks about us and our skin color.I endured 30 minutes under these conditions (a massage with negative energy and racist remarks) before saying stop. I asked the masseuse to stop and take a break. I was fed up with her asking her colleague for a mask to avoid smelling our "odor", tired of seeing her turn her head away, tired of this act. I told her I was not Somali. Her colleague asked if I spoke Arabic, and she replied no because I had told her I only spoke French and English. They then realized that we had understood everything they had been saying for the past 30 minutes: the laughter, the racist remarks.Her last attempt was to tell me that she wasn't talking about me, but about her Somali colleague, and that I was her Muslim sister. That there was no boundary between us. What a joke!She explained that if she didn't finish the massage (which should have lasted around 1 hour and 20 minutes because we had two packages), her boss would be angry. I told her I didn't care because I have dignity.The woman left, and her colleague quickly finished my friend's massage. We left. The next day, I tried to contact the owner by email, but received no response.People of value, avoid this spa. The man at the entrance was fine, but the women ruined the experience. For the first time in my life, at 30 years old, I experienced racism and humiliation. I was in shock and couldn't explain the situation to the man at the reception. I was tormented all night. Going for a massage to relax and coming out with more stress! This will stay in my mind for a long time. A piece of advice for the ladies: just because I'm not bilingual doesn't mean I can't understand words and phrases in other languages. Take heed.Mon amie et moi sommes allées au spa, où nous avons été humiliées et victimes de racisme. Nous sommes ressorties avec plus de stress qu'à notre arrivée. Les masseuses étaient exécrables.

  Amazing stay in Karakoy

  We had the most amazing stay here in Karakoy. The staff were so welcoming, especially Giray and Ugur, who made an extra effort to ensure that we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. Our room was great value for money; spacious, clean and had a lovely balcony. We were ideally located, within five minutes of the Galata Tower and the Bosphorus, and right next to public transportation. Great pasta here too! Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

  We’re here on vacation from San Francisco, California. This hotel is very good for the price we paid. The location is centralized with amazing views. The staffs are super nice and accommodating. The room size is reasonable. Highly recommended!
