  If you're looking to explore the area and simply need a place to sleep, this is it. Otherwise, not recommended. Construction is on going and will probably be for at least 2 years from writing this review. The noise is there until almost midnight even on Sundays. Secondly, that makes the entire area dirty. It's gross to walk around, especially if it is raining. Not the hotel's fault, but a definite factor. Also, the reason for 3 stars was the location in addition to the room's cleanliness. It was in dire need of a deep clean with Clorox. I stayed for 3 days and did not wish to say anything, but for all readers be advised the pics on their site and page here are very old. The rooms are big, but the property is worn, in the paint, in the floor, the carpets, the bathroom most especially was almost disgusting. If you're young and don't care then sure it might be your speed, for families or people with a higher budget do not stay here.

  The room is quite big and cozy. But besides of it, there is nothing I would recommend. The new hotel opposite is constructing 24 hrs, even in the midnight, and the view isn't like photo at all. This building is old and leaks from everywhere, rooftop, washstand of kitchen, and shower room.And one night, there was no hot water at 11 pm. We contacted with stuff and got reply that nothing he can do know. !!?? We know it's an apartment and we wouldn't expect good service, but never thought it would be that bad. And I finished the shower under cold water in the winter.Otherwise, due to the leaking problem, hotel asked us to move the room and then asked us again to move back after cos it stopped raining. We stayed for 4 nights and changed for 3 rooms, almost moved everyday. And during the communication, they never thought how inconvenient caused and didn't feel any sorry about it. Overall, it was a uncomfortable and worst staying ever.

  Beautiful rooms, great location (amazing rooftop!)

  Wow, what a spectacular HUGE bedroom suite. We were totally blown away.We also had a nice enough view of the Bosphorus, though it is directly over an active building site. This is not the hotel's fault, but good for travelers to note. The Karakoy area is incredible. Very vibey -- really a great base in Istanbul and easy walking distance to all tourist sights. Would I recommend this hotel - Yes, I would without reservation. What could be improved?- The road it is on is very dark. I'm sure that the hotel could put up some lights on the outside of the building to light up the street a bit so that it isn't so scary late at night. - The reception doesn't exactly give a '5*' feeling. It lets the hotel down, because the rooms are really 5*!

  Amazing boutique hotel! The rooms are artfully and tastefully done with amazing details. Very clean rooms and every detail in the room is beautiful. The staff is wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating to every request. An amazing experience that will be certainly repeated. I highly recommend it.

  Wonderful boutique hotel in great location of Karakoy

  Few things you need to know about the hotel- wonderful hotel staff with great room and interior. The hotel even loaned us an istanbulkart to use for bus/tram/metro and booked us a taxi to the airport when we checked out - the restaurant below the hotel is the best in Istanbul even to my picky standard- great location to walk around Karakoy and you can even walk spice bazaar via the bridge with great views of the city (10-15min walk)- close to Tram station (3-5min)- up hill walk to Metro station. It is 10-15min uphill so pretty challenging for those who are not fit to walkDownside:- Peninsula Hotel just bought over the whole building next to the hotel hence there is huge construction going on (not sure when will it be completed as we stayed here end Dec 2019). The construction noise is bearable but might come on at odd hours (even morning or at nigh). The construction also blocks the view though we get partial sea view from room number 9 on level 5- Traffic is bad coming to Karakoy area so you might have a hard time getting a taxi back to hotel but stick to tram (best option)Overall a wonderful time in Karakoy Rooms. Thank you to the helpful staff again
