  A peaceful nature retreat in the mountains of Chiang Mai

  I recently stayed at Flora Creek Chiang Mai and truly enjoyed the calm atmosphere surrounded by nature. The resort is located in the mountains outside the city, which makes it perfect for travelers looking for a quiet and relaxing escape.I stayed in a Pool Villa, and the space was beautiful and private. The villa combines warm wooden design with modern comfort, and the private pool surrounded by greenery made the stay feel very peaceful. Waking up to mountain air and birdsong was one of the best parts of the experience.The spa was another highlight. The treatment rooms are close to nature, and hearing the sounds of the forest during the massage made the experience even more relaxing.The property is also next to Cafe de la Fleur, which is a charming café perfect for coffee or dessert during the day.Overall, Flora Creek is a wonderful choice for couples, families, or anyone who wants to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty of Chiang Mai.

  It was our first visit, and to celebrate our 7th anniversary, we received an upgrade from Khun Winner and Khun Sunet. It was such a wonderful experience for this trip. We will come back again soon.

  Stayed here for a wedding and the property is absolutely stunning. The service was top tier and everyone we interacted with was kind and so helpful. We stayed in one of the private villas which was so spacious, clean, and filled with beautiful views and natural light. Not a single complaint! We loved to come again.

  Poorly maintained, strange experience, lovely garden and pool.

  Staying at Flora Creek was a peculiar experience. On the positive side, there are lovely gardens and a beautiful pool.However, a hotel in a tropical environment like this needs a lot of maintenance to stop mould and rot. This property is simply not being maintained adequately - even the newer buildings. Inside our room, the shower and bathroom mirror were dirty, there was built up dirt and yuck under the bed, the bottom of the curtains were grotty. Cupboards were chipped and needed replacement, some smelled musty. The room also had a really strange smell. In communal areas, the toilets for the main dining area were full of black mould, some of the buildings are derelict, haunted houses.There were also some uncomfortable peculiarities. The place was largely deserted - I’m talking maybe 15-20 people staying in the entire place! The gardens are lovely but you walk around feeling like you’re in the movie The Truman Show.It’s a good 30-40 mins drive from Chiang Mai which was fine as we were just there for a day and a bit but there is no way to get from the property to the airport or into town and staff are not able to assist with local taxis or the like. We had to download a ride share app and then convince a driver to come out to pick us up!Overall we had an ok time as we just wanted to sleep and read our books for a day after some hectic time in Bangkok and Chiang Mai but this is not a resort or holiday location: It could be but would need proper maintenance, adequate staffing and some attention to the detail of the guest experience.
