  Disappointing Stay – Beware of Overpriced Metro Cards!

  We stayed one night at Topkapı Old City Istanbul, and while there were some positives, our overall experience was disappointing.Pros:Friendly check-in experience with a helpful staff member.Comfortable beds.Convenient location, easy access to the center by metro or walking. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and ATMs nearby.Cons:Hallways smelled strongly of cigarettes, and there was loud music.The room was dusty, and we even found broken glass on the floor.Shower had a broken head, and water was leaking from underneath.The biggest issue: The receptionist sold us metro cards for three times the actual price when we later realized you can simply use your own bank card to pay for public transport. This felt like a scam and left a very bad impression.While the location is good, the dishonesty and lack of cleanliness make it hard to recommend this place. If you do stay here, do not buy metro cards from the reception—use your contactless bank card instead!Wouldn’t stay again.

  Good location and friendly staff l stayed for 3 days the room is clean and designed well you can reach public transports by walking distance 2-3 minutes from hotel .l really recommend this hotel and l will stay this hotel for my next visit to istanbul

  AVOID AVOID AVOID this hotel. Horrifying experience. The worst hotel I ever stayed. Not worthy of the price at all. The room that I booked on the picture is junior suite that suppose to have two separate rooms with one king size bed and one single bed. But they gave me a single room with double bed and sofa bed. When I asked them that is not the room I booked, initially they insisted that is the room. But the next day they said the double room is under refurbishment. Which is a lie. In fact it was rented. The first room they provided us was on the sixth floor which the lift doesn’t reach there. As it only works until the 5th floor. So we had to carry baby which wasn’t safe at all. The toilet smells horrible, it sickens us all family. Imagine 18 months baby was with us. The shower handle is broken. After two nights they changed us a room which still has smelly toilet. Poor conditions of the beds. House keepers barely touched the room. The breakfast isn’t good enough. This hotel shouldn’t be a three star hotel. It’s not qualified to get this rank. Customer service zero.

  Lovely staff and speaks english, neat rooms, offers neat towels and sanitaries, new modern furniture, good breakfast with fine varieties, convinient location for tourists, 2 min walk from Tip Facultasy bus station and Capa Shehrimisi tramway.

  The worst experience ever

  This was such a horrifying experience, on arrival we noticed that the rooms were not worth the price at all. There were mould stains in the bathroom making the whole place smell, most of the furniture is broken, their phones don’t work to call reception. The person working in reception does not provide any service at all and if you not Turkish he seems to not like people who can’t speak the language. We had complained and asked for a room change on the first day and we were lied to saying they couldn’t change our room because it was sold out but when I checked online there were plenty rooms available so I asked for a refund and we could go somewhere else however the reception said no to just wait till the morning and they would change it. We did exactly that but the room wasn’t ready in the morning and we had to go for my mums surgery, they changed our rooms while we were out and when we got back we realised that we made a mistake because this room was even worse. To fix the smell they put a diffuser in the toilet but this room was extremely smaller, all the problems the other room had this room had also and more which was a joke. We were forced to stay here expecting better but we just got worse and have to spend another day here to not let the money go to waste… thank god I didn’t book for the entire week… I would recommend to stay at a cheaper hotel or even at a hostel because you’d probably save money for the same service or better service and facilities somewhere else. I’m confused how this hotel has 3 stars 😅
