    This is exactly a 5 story hotel with 22 rooms total. The entrance is in a very busy street full of people and smokers all over, noisy and dirty. I can not believe that a hotel with 22 rooms could get over 1000 reviews all good and excellent. There is nothing good about this place, non smoking room smelling tobacco, cats outside the window eating from a dirty patio, the list goes on and on. This hotel does not meet normal standards in global travelling.DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.     Fantastic place. I stayed here years ago as well. Right in the centre of Sultanahmet. Close to everything including the light rail. I had a spacious and very quiet (!!) room. Staff very extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfasts on the terrace was great with lovely views of the city and the water. Very pleased I chose to stay here again.     We stayed for a few days in September in the old part of Istanbul at the Lapis Inn Hotel and Spa, a very small place. The location of the hotel was ideal, within walking distance of all the historical sites and shops. My favorite part was enjoying breakfast on the terrace with a stunning view of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was simple, nothing fancy, but clean, and the beds were comfortable enough.
