    WFH (Worse. F#cking. Hotel.)

    rating07 May 2024

WORSE. HOTEL. IVE EVER BEEN TO. The owners have lied, there's mold in the DOOR HANDLE. Found a HAIR on my bed, the view is awful from the back, it's a construction site, and they only are nice to the Turkish people because they know how to get away from scams, WHILE THEY SCAM PEOPLE FROM OVERSEAS. Do not come here, my dad was tricked and got manipulated into thinking their good people. Me and my Sister were lucky enough to see that the hotel owner, and our TAXI DRIVER WHO RECOMMENDED US THE HOTEL, THE HOTEL OWNER GAVE HIM THE MONEY TO THE TAXI DRIVER!!!!!!!!!!! [Banging on table sfx] no wonder why we had to pay extra!! AND DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEIR MENU. they charged us 700 lira just because we drank orange juice, and 2 coffee's. THAT'S ALL. DO NOT COME HERE

    The worst experience in Istanbul

Avoid Big scammers at this hotel which has nothing to do with the pictures. You pay the reservation and when you arrive they pretend a technical problem with the room and they suggest you to find another hotel without giving you the money back

    Terrible experience

Terrible experience!!!!!This hotel and the staff we encountered do not even deserve a one star. They cleared the funds through booking.com more than 10 days before arrival. The rooms (one twin and one triple) were well below any hotel standard - initial first impression, the room smells of urine and the blackout curtains only covered half the window. The reception guy (? manager - Cagri came and he started showing frustration). Later on when it was hot, we called upon the night staff as we couldn’t find the remote for the AC. He was frustrated as well, spoke aggressively in Turkish, waving his hand and indicating that the guest is mad as the remote was in the other room (as if guest need to check around). He couldn’t even operate it and after a lengthy period of time, he pushed the fuse from behind a picture frame starting the AC. However, the AC was not able to be control by the remote. After one guest had shower, water flooded outside the shower and moreover the drain did not work leaving around 10cms of water where more people couldn’t shower. When the night staff was asked to call the manager due to the number of issues, he refused and stated that ‘the manager was sleeping’ (2300hrs) and to report to him next day at 1100hrs. Upon insisting, the night staff called ‘the manager’ (Cagri) who was again very rude and stated that guests leave the hotel because of the complaints and he does not care about the feedback like here. With a child and an OAP in the party, we had no option but to stay overnight. The breakfast was a pre pack cold plate, some sliced bread…and one Turkish tea per person; sitting at a cramped dinning table with a sunken (damaged) sofa. We had no option than to look for another hotel for our last and second night in Istanbul. When Cagri arrived in the morning and was shown the issues, he became so rude and appears to be swearing to the guests. He showed no understanding to the issues when shown nor about the lack of cleanliness of the place including the wardrobe, behind the bed, the AC. He again stated that he does not care about the review. Moreover, despite already received our money, he is still trying to say that we are yet to pay and to add our card details on booking.com website. I wish I knew how to report this establishment within Istanbul but will definitely take this up with booking.com when back in London…..Avoid!!!!

Terrible experience. Avoid at all costs

We booked a "Deluxe room" at this hotel based on the the official photographs and the customer reviews posted on a booking website. Both the official photos and most of the reviews totally misrepresent the quality of this hotel. I feel deceived. This was my worst hotel experience ever. The hotel is shabby, poorly maintained, neglected and in a very poor state of repair. This is not obvious from the published photos. Customer service was poor.We stayed in room 41 and I attach a number of photographs taken in that room. The photos speak for themselves. This is described as a “Deluxe” room. What a joke.More worrying, from a safety perspective, is that the stairway, which is the sole means of escape in the event of a fire, was used as a storage space. On at least two occasions (during a four night stay) we had to use the stairs because the lift was out of order. Oh yes, that too – the lift was a problem. Once we were in the lift when it stopped and the lights went out. When we had to use the stairs we had to clamber past a foldup bed, a shower door and various boxes of hotel supplies. Again, the photos say it all.Regarding service, one day, despite having placed the “please make up the room” notice on the door there was no service provided. When we enquired at reception in the evening, we were told that there were no housekeeping staff available at that time and we were then supplied with only two clean bath towels.Breakfast was served just inside the front door of the hotel, in front of the reception desk. The seating was shabby and worn out. The space was cramped and uncomfortable. Even more uncomfortable was having to experience arguments between hotel staff and angry customers in the narrow confines of the breakfast/reception area. This is a nine-bedroom hotel. A total of 116 reviews were posted on Booking.com during the month of September 2023. Some of these reviews were for stays of more than one night. This is a most extraordinarily high number of reviews on a single on-line reservation system for such a small property. I cannot and would not suggest that any individual review is fraudulent. However, when a hotel has reviews representing over 70% of all available room-nights, this ought to raise questions in an inquisitive mind. Reviews are so important for a customer making purchasing decisions. They ought to be trusted. I trusted them when I booked. I will need to be more discerning in future.Having our room (room 41) described as a “Deluxe room” in a “Fabulous” property is nothing short of deceit.Caveat emptor.

The most horrific experience I've ever had!

    rating05 Oct 2023

The photos were great so we booked a Deluxe room for our honeymoon in advance. When we arrived, it took us half an hour to find the hotel because it doesn't look like it's photos AT ALL.When we booked it the hotel looked like a great place to rest with comfortable rooms, beautiful beds and design (it is even called a boutique hotel). In reality it's a dirty little hall without proper sign that is run by an incompetent manager who told us that our reservation was cancelled, when in reality it was very much active in Booking.com.They literally told us 'hotel full' and threw us away at 11 p.m...They even wanted to charge us for the room because the reservation was irrevocable! When we started scrolling through Booking.com reviews we found 5 recent reviews with the same story - deceptive photos, no reservation, horrible rooms.Don't ever go there if you want a good experience!
