  Perfect hotel for a family holiday

  Hotel is situated in the heart of the old city, 10-15 min on foot from many historical sites in Istanbul (Blue mosque, Aja Sofia, Grand Bazzar, Basilica Cisterne, Suleymanie, Galata bridge..).There is a restaurant across the hotel so you don't have to look for a place to eat on your first day. The metro station is across the hotel, the tram station that takes you to the area near Dolmabahce palace and Galata tower is 100 m from the hotel. Breakfast perfect-something local, something international. Rooms were cleaned every day, towels changed every day. The rooms are fully equipped (tea kettle, tea bags, hair dryer, shampoo, balcony with a table and two chairs). Noise level is pretty low. Beds are super comfortable. Rooms are quite big. You are welcomed at the lobby by the receptionist and there is a luggage porter if you need one. There is an elevator so you can easily take the stroller if you have small children. The price of the accommodation with breakfast is quite low considering everything. I would definitely come back to this hotel. 5*

  ME AND MY SON BITTEN BY BEDBUGS in 2 hours

  I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel unless you want to be bitten by bedbugs!!We booked and paid for 3 nights, but from the moment we arrived, the experience was extremely disappointing. One of our rooms was not ready upon check-in, and we were told the other would be in the basement, which was confusing and far from the “deluxe” experience we expected. The staff promised to move us the next day, so we accepted.Later that night, after a long day, we were finally given a room on the 3rd floor (room 313). To our shock, it was dirty and poorly maintained. We were exhausted, had already paid, and felt we had no choice but to stay. My husband, child, and I slept there, while my father and brother stayed in the basement room.Just two hours later, I woke up itching badly, only to discover red, lumpy bites all over my skin. My son also woke up crying that his feet and ankles were itchy. When we turned on a flashlight, we found visible bed bugs crawling on his bed. My husband killed two and recorded video proof. It was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.When we reported this to the receptionist, they were dismissive and offered no help. At 2:30am, we had no choice but to leave and search for another hotel in the middle of the night. We spent hours driving around Istanbul with a taxi driver until finally finding a room at 7:30am. We essentially felt homeless and helpless all night because of this hotel.The next day, the hotel refunded us and gave a half-hearted apology, plus a suggestion to go to a pharmacy for itch-relief gel. This was an insult — I didn’t come on holiday to be bitten by bed bugs and treated with such disregard. My bites were severe, my face was swollen, and my son was also affected.This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Dirty rooms, bed bugs, unprofessional staff, and a complete lack of care for guests’ health and comfort. No one should ever go through what we went through.Avoid Marmara Deluxe Hotel at all costs.Pictures doesn’t show how bad it was in real life and painful!

  The hotel was very well located and good value,clean enough.The older receptionist was so helpful and gave us useful advice to how to get transportation to the bus station.We saved a lot of money.

  Lovely hotel ideally located for all the major sights in central Istanbul. Service was fantastic. The room was huge with great ambience and facilities. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s walking distance to the bazaars, mosques river, station etc. countless restaurants to choose from within a few minutes walk

  This was my second stay atMarmara deluxe and defo not the last one and i do not regret choosing it again.On arrival we were upgraded to a quadruple room with a beautiful hammam and the room was spacious and cleaned every single day.The breakfast was nice and filling with very acceptable choice and freshly cooked meals everyday.Location was fantastic and to walking distance to most tourists attractions restaurants and cafes all around. Also the tram and underground are 2 mins walk .The staff hospitality and curtesy and respect is a big shoutout and it makes you feel at home.Special thanks to MAHMOUD who was very kind and to the ladies at reception and the one who runs the breakfast.if i ll come back to Istanbul again i definitely know where to go 😊The only thing to mention is a little renovation.
