Waiters are non respectful and food is disappointed I am very disappointed with hotel ratings that this hotel should not be 3star should be 1 star because of rooms but distance from tourist attractions is far very far but rate is high with raw and rubbish taste I wouldn’t recommend if it is free even

Avoid! Ask Turkish Airlines for a better hotel.

    rating28 Aug 2022

This is not a 5 star hotel. Turkish Airlines uses it as layover hotel. No drinking water was provided in the room, the dinner menu was a simple set menu with water in paper cups - any additional bottle of water (500 ml) is charged at 1 USD, a soft drink costs 3 USD. Service is chaotic and slow. Internet in the room really bad - cannot even check emails. The bus to pick up passengers to take them back to the airport should have arrived at 4 AM, arrived nearly an hour late; passengers have been called to sit in the lobby since 3:45 AM…

Worst hotel experience of my life

    rating06 Jul 2022

I was put here by Turkish Airlines because a delayed flight led to a missed flight. After a 40-minute bus ride from the airport (couldn’t they find anything closer?) we finally pulled up to this chic joint in the middle of some rough commercial district on the outskirts of Istanbul. Nothing was nearby. First disappointment; the internet didn’t work in the lobby. “It will be stronger in your room”, they lied. Another lie was that there were no other rooms available. All the airline customers are treated like scum and accommodated on the very lowest floor and so I asked if I could pay to upgrade. “We are completely full”, they said, only to find me another room 5 hours later. The room was tacky with a terrible view but I was only going to crash, and so down to dinner I went. “Dinner doesn’t start until 9”, they said. What kind of hotel starts dinner at 21.00 hrs? Oh, this is a special treat for the Turkish Airlines guests, I worked out. “Set menu, start at 9” they re-bleated. OK, I’ll have a drink. The Qua Hotel is such a reputable establishment that the drinks prices are negotiable. “12 dollars”, he said, for two beers. Hang on, can I pay by card? “You have cash? I see there, dollars”, he had noted the green in my wallet. “10 dollars ok” (Nobody but the front desk spoke more than 2 words of English.). I’ve no idea what the actual price was but I dropped the ten and went off to enjoy them. After the depressing set menu, doled out like a school canteen, I headed up to bed. After about an hour I realised that the air conditioner was not going to get the room any colder, and I was sweating. I messed around with the controls, took a cold shower, but at around 11.30 I decided enough was enough and called the reception. “I will send someone up”, they said. 25 minutes later I called back; “is someone coming”. “Yes, problem in another room. They will be there in 10 minutes”. I waited another 20 before calling again, this time rather annoyed. “Nobody came? Oh sorry. I will call them now”. 10 minutes later – by now an hour since my first call – an obnoxious little man turned up who spoke no English whatsoever. He realised that the AC was on Auto, instead of Cool, and figured that he had solved the problem. “Auto, no cool”, he said. I understood what he meant but unfortunately, he refused to try to understand me. “I am the one who put it on auto”, I tried to explain, “I tried Cool for more than an hour and then put it on auto to see if that would help. All the while, I had no internet in my room whatsoever and so I couldn’t use Google translate or anything. He left, I stormed downstairs. At this point I had had enough and decided that I would just leave and find another hotel but, incredibly, the internet had now stopped working in the lobby too. I was literally trapped. Finally, the front desk man came upstairs with me to visit the sweatbox and eventually agreed to give me a different room (which he had previously said didn’t exist). The next day, another drab lunch was served at 13.00 (and not before), which I took 1 look at and got a taxi to the airport. Do not stay at the Qua hotel. Shame on Turkish Airlines for putting its guests there and treating them like cattle. We shouldn’t be herded to a hotel in groups of 30. We shouldn’t be made to eat a set menu all at the same time. We should be treated as guests of the hotel, not inconvenient extras who are given the worst rooms and service. If Qua can’t manage this and don’t want us there, find somewhere else. Turkish should take a look at the Egyptian / Ethiopian offerings and see if they can find something similar.

Where did all the stars came from?

    rating24 Feb 2022

Due to the delay of my connecting flight the airline company arranged a one night stay at this place. It is located outside the main sights of Istanbul in a more industrial area. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice. Dinner was okay but not as a 5-star standard. Maybe just because we were not “normal” guests and the food for regular guests is better. Although the building is new, especially the ceilling of the A-floor coridor has water damage and some part of the ceiling is missing. Being a guest at a lot of 5-star hotels maybe this placd was the one not really deserving the 5-star rating. Nevertheless it can be considered for short stays but don’t expect too much
