    Excellent hotel in old town area close to all major attractions but quiet street. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with eggs, assorted cheeses, many jams, fruits, salads, breads and assorted coffees. The rooms were very clean and modern. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

    Had stayed there with my family during weekend for a birthday trip. We went with privilege room at floor 5. The room was super clean and quiet. Overall hotel is small and has the boutique hotel vibe. Stuff was just lovely. We felt like at home from the first moment. At the birthday breakfast I got a cake from the crew…. World class service, hotel location is also very well. You cannot hear the sounds of the street and at the same time you are in convenient location. I highly recommend this place.

    I had a truly pleasant stay here. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful from start to finish : special thanks to Enirhan and Hidir, who made me feel so welcome throughout my entire visit. The room and bed were very comfortable, excellent soundproofing; it was very peaceful. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of both hot and cold options to start the day. The location is unbeatable : you can visit almost everything on foot, and it’s very close to the tram, metro, and ferry access. I will definitely be back!

    I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent stay at Mercure Sirkeci. Unfortunately, we experienced a very uncomfortable night due to mites in the bed and a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom.We had booked two nights on our way back home in order to explore the historical sites nearby, but because of the poor room conditions, we were unable to sleep and therefore could not enjoy our stay as planned.What makes this even more disappointing is that I had sent an email prior to check-in asking for the best available option, as I had seen mixed reviews online. Despite holding a Platinum Accor membership and requesting an upgrade, we were given what appeared to be one of the worst rooms: very small, with little natural light, only one window, and a strong odor (which I tried to mask with perfume). The bathroom was also in unacceptable condition, with hair found everywhere.To make matters worse, although the manager told me no other rooms were available, I noticed that larger and brighter rooms were later shown as available on the website after we had already checked out early in the morning — which leads me to feel that my request and membership status were disregarded.We genuinely wanted to give Mercure Sirkeci a chance despite the mixed reviews, but unfortunately, this experience left us extremely disappointed. I kindly request a refund for the second night of our stay, as we were unable to remain in the hotel under these conditions.We requested a refund for the second night, and at first the manager told us we would need to wait until 9:00 AM because we had checked out around 7:30 AM. However, after sending an email, we surprisingly received the refund without having to wait at all.So not only did we have a sleepless night, but they also tried to make us wait unnecessarily outside, which made the whole experience even more frustrating.

    This hotel was an excellent choice, largely thanks to its fantastic location right in the heart of the Sultanahmet area. It served as the perfect base for exploring Istanbul's historic core – we were just a short, pleasant walk away from major attractions like the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, which was incredibly convenient.The staff also deserve high praise; they were consistently welcoming, helpful, and genuinely friendly throughout our stay, contributing significantly to a positive experience.Our room offered several comforts that we really appreciated. It was surprisingly spacious, giving us plenty of room to move around and store our belongings without feeling cramped. Having facilities to make hot water for coffee and tea right in the room was a wonderful touch for relaxing mornings or evenings. The minifridge was also very useful for keeping drinks and small snacks cool.Furthermore, we liked having the option to open the windows for fresh air when the weather was nice. When it was warmer, the air conditioning worked efficiently and effectively, ensuring the room remained comfortable at all times.Overall, this hotel provided a comfortable and convenient stay with great staff in an unbeatable location for sightseeing in Sultanahmet. We would happily stay here again.Taxi was about 1400 TL to the airport, public transportation is only available from 6:00 to 24:00
