    Excellent value-for-money hotel in Istanbul, away from the noise and crowds in the historical center

    This is a very good hotel, exceptional in almost every aspect, I would rate it 4.7* out of 5*. I stayed in room 1211, and was upgraded upon my early arrival (extra plus!). Everything was great: huge room, fabulous bed, 5 types of pillows to choose from, large bathroom, fluffy towels, minibar, tea & instant coffee + 2 bottles of water complimentary EVERY DAY, safe, AC working very well, big TV, and a sumptuous breakfast. The room was kept exceptionally clean with every day service. There was enough room for storage in a proper wardrobe, which is rare nowadays in hotels. For me, visiting Istanbul for the third time, the location of the hotel was a plus as it was away from the noise and crowds of tourists in the "historical centre" (Sultanahmet). You have the tram and bus stations three minutes walk from the hotel (5 stops to Eminonu), and the ferry station four minutes away. With the ferry, one in every hour, you can travel all the way to the Asian side of Istanbul in 40 minutes. For me, the cost of travelling was mitigated by the tranquility and fantastic comfort of this excellent value-for-money hotel. You can find a hotel at this price in Sultanahmet, but will never get the comfort, size of room, tranquility etc. of Millennium in Ayvansaray. You are also within walking distance to Blaherne Palace, Chora Church with its magnificent Byzantine mosaics (the best in Istanbul), and from Balat, the so-chic neighborhood.Only Turkish tea and American coffee free of charge at breakfast, for espresso, latte etc you have to pay. For me it was not a problem as I wanted to enjoy the Turkish breakfast - fabulous, by the way - with Turkish tea, but for other tourists it may be a drawback. Especially as the American so-called coffee is just a beverage tasting like coffee, not proper coffee :)) The management may reconsider this policy.

    It was a brilliant hotel and brilliant staff Whether it was Mezubin at reception or the entire staff or the staff at breakfast or evening dinner Results or Medik or entire staff in restaurants They all went an extra mile to do anything for us specially when I couldn’t eat much made sure that it was to our taste and liking The house keeping were brilliant the rooms were perfect 👌 and we couldn’t find fault in the rooms Spacious clean and luxurious rooms very spacious. We would recommend this hotel to anyone out to stay close by team station within 5 mins walkIt was my husband sp birthday and they got a cake 🎂 done for him and surprise him Beautiful hamam used it couple of times Will definitely recommend to anyone

    Location near a tramway that will take you to downtown quick and easy. Otherwise a modern and cozy place with friendly staff, highly recommend!
