  There are many residence in the neighborhood. But the service is great, rooms are good, location fantastic.. So Why would I change... If you are in the neighborhood try this one. You won't regret it. supermarkt street before AND behind this street.. Easy to reach with the Airportbusses

  We found the More Residence through the Booking.com indication after they cancel the agreement with the hotel we had booked and paid through the site.We discovered the cancellation at the Bodrum's airport preparing to fly to Istanbul at 11 pm. That is, we come to Istanbul almost 1 am there and had no place to sleep. The reception is only open until midnight, so we had to look for another place to sleep. The next day, we went to the front desk and the manager, Mr. Suleiman, received us extraordinarily well. After explaining the situation offered us a room and the next day we would go to the suite.Suleiman was very attentive and helpful, as well as the entire staff. He offered us a better price than the site(with no rates) and hosted us amicably in a large suite with a comfortable bed. You see, we were two young people without big demands and the room just beating expectations (everything we needed was a good bed, air conditioning and private bathroom).The proximity to the Taksim Square and Istiklal meant that we could run the city at night out on foot. It is very close to the nightlife.The stairs to the bedroom and the call of the mosques (you hear from anywhere) and the balcony with locked door were the negatives.Certainly I recommend to stay!

  great bargain in a great location

  Situated conveniently close to Taksim Square, this little gem of a hotel is quaint and comfortable. The power was out for a few hours during my first day and it added to the overall eerie and exotic feeling of the place as I ascended the steep spiral staircases by candlelight. A truly Turkish experience! The room will feel small and poorly-equipped to many North American travellers, but is is fine by Turkish standards, and worth the price. The beds are basic but adequate, the bathroom is clean, and the view was amazing if you don't mind a few run-down buildings below. Turkey is a sometimes violent clash of ancient and modern, European and Asian, secular and sacred, and is not for all travellers, which is also true of this accomodation. The manager was kind and helpful, and gave good directions to local attractions. My only caveat was the loud wail of the muqqadima from the minarets of a myriad of nearby mosques. I would recommend earplugs if loud noises bother you. Otherwise, I would unhesitatingly recommend this place.

  Good location but not that clean

  The location is nice, since it is 5 minutes walking to Taksim and Iskital Street. The manager that received us was really kind. But as well as the other review here (by Willowcat95) our room wasn't that clean. We could see dust all over the bathroom.If you want to stay for only one night and you are in a small budget, not a problem. Free wifi in the rooms.

  It was a bit dificult to find but when you do find it you realise how close it is! It is located ( the More residence no.1 and 2 they are just 2 houses away), on the first paralel street of Tarlabasi boulevard!!Quiet neighborhood, local stores...Me and my girlfriend were in the no.2 residence in room no.4, ground floor. First what you notice is how clean it is! Clean carpet, spotless bathroom, bed and linen shining white. Clean towels on the bed, and 2 pairs of sleapers ( one use only tipe you know) in a plastic bag. Shower gel and shampoo, hairdrier, toilet paper...Everything you need! 2 min from Taksim sq. And just acros the residance and acros Tarlabasi blv is Istikal cadedesi street where all of the pubs, restaurants are 5min. walking from the residance!!!!I strongly recomend "More" to everybody!!!
