    We enjoyed the older style building and interior decor of the hotel. Our room was comfortable and well furnished; the bathroom clean and with good water pressure for the shower. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of sweet and savory options to suit different tastes. The hotel seems very well run. Management and staff are readily available, friendly and eager to help. The location in the historic center was perfect for our first time visit to Istanbul.

    This place is a gem. Right in the heart of Istanbul with all of the famous sites within walking distance, it is also conveniently located next to Tram 1.The main highlight is the kindness and attention of the people who work there, from reception to kitchen to housekeeping, I really felt like a part of the group. It has a family atmosphere.The rooms and the hotel itself is decorated beautifully with antiques and ottoman styling. The bathroom even had a Turkish bath feature so you could pretend you were in a hammam. It was quiet and clean and just a pleasure to be in.The breakfast is huge and a delight, and the rooftop eating area looks out over the water. I thoroughly enjoyed.I would stay there again if I wanted to be close to the tourist area and heartily recommend it to first time visitors to Istanbul.
