Perfect location in the heart of SultanAhmed district!

Great experience, wonderful view from the Blue Mosque from our room, great services from the team and specially from Yunus, who speaks some Spanish and some Portuguese and helped us with hotel transfers, and offered tours in the bosforo and to the key spots. Very good breakfast and perfect location in the door of Arrasta Bazaar and in the heart of Sultan Ahmed with walking distance to the main spots, 5 minutes from Blue Mosque, 6 minutes from Hagia Sophia, 6 minutes to Sisterna and 10 minutes to Topkaki Palace. Amazing stay and we will back for sure next year. Thank you Obelisk and Yunus for the wonderful time! :)

My review is special since we finally couldn’t make to the Hotel for reasons nothing to do with it. My intention is to recognize Mr. Yunus for the professional and dedicated job he has done taking care of my reservation since was placed through Expedia, stables hung contact with me through WhatsApp on real time, sometimes at late night time for him, and also setting tours for us to make at affordable prices. Mr. Yunus is a professional and a value and an asset for his hotel where he works. The condition of the hotel I think is Excelent, offering a variety of services that you expect in a city like Istanbul. It is a shame that we couldn’t make it for our own reasons. Sure you will always would like to deal with a person like Yunus. You feel treated, attended, and updated. I recommend the hotel to everybody. Location is almost the closest to the landmark sites to visit. Thanks to all of you in Obelisk Suites!

A great boutique hotel in the heart of the old city

The Obelisk is a classy, sort of understated boutique hotel ideally situated to walk to the many of the sights in the old town section of Istanbul. Many restaurants and shops dot the the area. While many of the buildings in the area are old, the hotel is decorated in a modern style with lots of restrained stone and tile work. Our rooms were neat and clean, beds comfortable. The staff was friendly and arranged rides to and from the airport. A Turkish style breakfast was a great way to start the day that will probably lead to lots of walking. You will not go wrong staying at the Obelisk if you want to great access to experience the older, historic sections of Istanbul.

We stayed at the Obelisk Hotel & Suites twice during our extended holiday, for 3 nights at the end of June and because we loved it so much we came back for another night in mid-July! I can't fault this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are a great size, as a family of 4 its always nice to get a bit of extra room and the interconnecting set-up works super well. The breakfast was also a highlight, lovely range of fresh hot and cold options. Highly recommended hotel and in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the sights and plenty of restaurant options close by.
