The major sight-seeing attractions of the historic Sultanahmet district (Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia) are roughly 4.5 km from the hotel and easily reached by public transport. Guests will find shops, restaurants, bars, nightlife and links to the public transport network in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, while the nearest metro station is 800 metres away. The Bosphorus is 1 km from the hotel and Dolmabahce Palace is 2 km away. Istanbul-Atatürk Airport is approximately 16 km from the hotel and Sabiha Gökçen Airport is roughly 40 km away.

    Superb! The hotel is immaculately cleaned. -It’s a minutes walk to Istiklal Street and Taksim Square. The staff are incredibly helpful and always to hand- they tend to your every need. The beds are super comfortable, amenities are wonderful and the price is a bargain. I would definitely recommend the Petros Hotel.     Outstanding architecture, Great location.

    Outstanding architecture, clean rooms, great location and kind staffs. The location was perfect, it was only few steps away from Istiklal street and if you want to have fun until late at night, it is one of the safest place, avenues around are crowded until near morning and there is no worry to walk to the hotel late at night. Especially if you are a girl, I recommend you this hotel.     Not recommended for families, noise sensitive people or working people who need good internet connection.The stuff:Polite but unprofessional and unenthusiastic. Upon my arrival nobody met me, I was alone with two heavy suitcases and had to leave them outside late in the evening in order to go inside the hotel and ask for help.Then the receptionist took all the payment in advance in cash without providing a receipt. After I’d insisted on a receipt several times I was given a post-it note with the receptionist’s signature and a hotel stamp…The location:The location is unpleasant and very noisy. The small streets are rather dirty and there are many pubs and clubs around with loud music and nightlife noise until late at night, as well as a lot of people shouting in the streets. And since the air conditioning is central you have to choose between open window with loud noise and closed window with stuffed air. Can only imagine how uncomfortable it is during hot summer months (my stay was in may and the AC did not work).The hotel inside:Rooms are clean and have simple basic amenities, but small and cramped. Not sound proof at all. You will hear people in other rooms coughing and flushing their toilets and their alarm clock going off. The rooms on the side street have very little sunlight since the street is narrow and the buildings are tall.Terrible wifi, could not properly support a simple zoom-call.Lack of comfortable common areas.There is no proper breakfast available even as an option - only some cold cereals, small pastries and coffee/tea that were presented as “complimentary” and “free” which is weird and manipulative after you pay 90 euro for a night.So, despite the hotel being clean and renovated and having all the basic amenities it is the opposite of cozy, feels rather lifeless and unwelcoming, it is very uncomfortable and is located in one of the least pleasant areas of the city.Not worth the money that is asked for it and definitely is not on a boutique hotel level nor on a 4 star-rated level. When our receptionist saw you carrying your suitcase he immediately helped you.. Because of the physical structure of the hotel reception, unfortunately the street is not seen from the reception.One of the most appreciated features of our hotel is the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. Every payment made is entered into the hotel management software and a receipt is given to the guests who request it. The payment you made, based on the changes you made as part of the cancellation and modification policy,,was refunded to you in full, except for the first night fee of your stay. Our receptionist assisted you with the cancellation and we refunded your payment back, not booking.com..We don’t serve breakfasst and this is clearly specified on all online sales channels.. Although all our sales are without breakfast. every morning we serve complimentary tea, coofee, corn flakes, cookies and cake and we don’t name this “brekfast”It’s really surprising that you expect breakfast from a otel which does not serves breakfast and clearly specifies it.Petros Hotel is a boutique hotel and we never claim that our hotel is a four star hotel.     Decent hotel for short stay

    We booked Petros while in transit in Istanbul for half a day. It was a good fit for our needs - very centrally located in Beyoglu, within walking distance of Istiklal, decent price point and a comfortable room. But don’t expect a warm welcome, the receptionist will barely look up as you enter to check-in. Being centrally located also makes it noisy and chaotic in the evening - good for a short stay but avoid for vacations.
