Location

The hotel is situated in an inspiring location, directly in the heart of the Old Town, in a slightly elevated position surrounded by the most important historic and cultural sights, and with a view of the impressive Hagia Sophia museum. The most important shopping area, the harbour area and Sultanahmet Square are all easily accessible on foot. It is approximately 200 m to the tram stop Sultanahmet.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1854. 54 non-smoking rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well.     We first discovered the Ottoman Imperial Hotel in 2024, and in July 2025 we stayed there for 4 days. We were so satisfied with our experience that we returned again in April 2026 and stayed for 11 days.It is a very safe and convenient hotel both for visiting historical sites and for shopping. We became so comfortable there that it truly felt like a family atmosphere, allowing us to stay with complete peace of mind. We were extremely pleased with everyone — from the reception staff to the restaurant team and the housekeeping staff who kept the rooms perfectly organized.Of course, we are already thinking about coming back again. It is a hotel where you are welcomed with warm smiles and genuine courtesy. You can stay here with complete confidence and comfort.

    Great location. Building is worn out. They turn off the heat during the day! €45 for two glasses of cheap tasting wine, a big rip off. I would never stay here again.

    Amazing boutique hotel in Sultanahmet

    Location: Right behind Hagia Sophia and minutes away from all the attractions in Sultanahmet. You can enjoy early mornings/late evenings walks in the area in peace. Property: Lovely legacy property with great views. Food: Hotel has a Michelin restaurant. The complimentary breakfast is just amazing with great variety.Access: As the entrance is on the street behind Hagia Sophia, taxis from/to airport may not be able to drop-off/pick-up at the hotel entrance. The hotel does provide complimentary golf buggy drop-offs to the taxi.Staff: Always very helpful and considerate.

    Family of four visiting for 4 days . The hotel has a great location close to the great attractions in Istanbul . The interior with an oriental perspective. Excellent rooms and the service from the staff second to none. From the reception to the servants in the breakfast room to the hotel management that helped us out if a little problem got us taxi picked us up at the arrival with a taxi etc. Can be recommended if you go to Istanbul. Go for one of the bigger rooms as they are more comfortable.
