  Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price

  Very disappointing overall experience. The entire hotel had an unpleasant smell, and the rooms did not have working air conditioning, which is a serious issue since the building has very little natural airflow. We even found a cockroach near the jacuzzi, so we did not use it again.The rooms are small, outdated, and not worth the price. Communication was sometimes difficult as the staff spoke limited English.On a positive note, the breakfast was good, and the receptionists were helpful and polite. However, considering the price, the overall experience did not meet expectations.

  Need to improve upkeeping and hygiene standards

  The room was cold and noisy and we were able to hear both the noise from the street and the snoring of the people sleeping in the next room. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The hot tub was smelly and I don't think they have chlorinated the pool for a long time, which caused all three of us to get sick. The hotel staff were very cheerful and supporting but I suspect they are very restricted with the budget - in fact they've sent a message pointing they are well aware of the problems with upkeeping and the general hygiene issues at the hotel. That's not an excuse though, putting a water glass to the dinner table instead of giving water bottles when people have paid for half board shouldn't be that difficult.

  Excellent location but a bit dated the hotel, the best seller is the small balcony in the cafe , AVOID to book via Agoda Close to metro station, close to Istiklal, super market beside of the hotel wich was very convinient

  I stayed for 2 nights at the Pera Tulip Hotel as a solo traveller. A smooth check in, pleasantly surprised by the room it was very clean and spacious enough. The bed was very comfy. One of the pillows was a bit thin but I saw this was replaced on my 2nd day. Toiletries were provided such as shampoo, shower gel etc. Bottled water was also provided and replenished. The shower was excellent.The breakfast included was good there were a decent selection of things however it would have been nice to have more sweet/pastry options as were mainly meats and cheeses. The omelette was very good! Nice ambience/music in there too. The main downside was the level of noise from the street. It’s in a busy location near bars and restaurants but there was a lot of music until 2am from outside so make sure you pack ear plugs. There was also a lot of noise in the morning from the corridor/housekeeping as my room was opposite a cleaning cupboard. Not the most relaxing. I didn’t get a chance to check out the spa facilities due to a short stay.
