    Terrible experience

    rating03 May 2019

I made the reservation on the internet rating. When I go, I saw that it's not even close to comments and scores. First of all, after choosing "I'm going to pay by credit card", they said that they don't accept credit card or debit because they didn't have POS machine. The rooms and carpets smelled musty and were neglected. The price was convenient yes but it did not have to be in that way. We had to cancel the reservation and look for another place. Also the street is not very safe.

    Good except...

A small budget hotel that met our needs nicely for our few days in Istanbul. I.e very cheap and clean. We booked a double but we're given a tripple which was handy with our son in tow. Room was of course small but ok. Bathroom was decent. It is on the outskirts of central district so not too far to walk into attractions. A couple of little cafes and shop right next door which was good for breakfast (Hotel doesnt do food). The thing letting the place down, even for budget hotel is that it reeked of smoke. The room was t too bad but entry and corridors terrible. The guys at front desk smoke all day and night down stairs. (1 slept on couch downstairs even. I think maybe he stays in the room we had when people not there as smoke packets and some other personal things still in the room)Yes this is Turkey and more people smoke but this place could do better thinking about the effect of that on business

    Wouldn't call it smoke free

    rating06 Oct 2017

The hotel may say it has no smoking rooms, but the constant chain smoking that wafts up into the rooms from the lobby makes that fact irrelevant. There is no way to get away from it from early morning to late at night. The rooms are decent, but the cleaning is suspect. On the surface it looks great, but we were left with a half pack of cigarettes, a half pack of face wipes, a half pack of cotton wool, and half used shampoos in the shower. in addition to the large visible wad of hair in the sink, I have to wonder what other shortcuts have been taken on the cleaning. There are at least three local mosques within spitting distance of the hotel who compete with one another for the loudest and longest call to prayer. Literally loudspeakering over one another. One of them appears to broadcast their entire 6 am service as well.Location is decent, although a little sketchy at night -- this could also just be perception as well.

    Almost good

    rating03 Sept 2017

The hotel didn't meet our expectations. There is no way to get 9.1 points for this hotel. The best thing about it is it'd positioning. Rooms are pretty good. They were almost clean except the ashtray. The wifi works very slow. We havn't hot water for the entire day. They only accept cash, no credit card whatsoever.Personnel quite friendly with poor English language.

    A Good alternative

    rating04 Nov 2015

We had originally booked in another hotel but due to a mixup in bookings, and non availability, had to book elsewhere. The hotel pics given on the internet are a bit glossier than what we found, but the hotel location is excellent, and hence the rating. the first room we were given was small with the bed almost touching the wall at the 'feet'. on complaining we were instantly given another room without any hassle. We had a court yard 'view' and we would be awakened every morning with the call to prayer from a nearby mosque (you get used to it). Breakfast was good up on the roof & weather permitting can be taken on the small terrace and the view is terrific. A dinner or lunch can be taken & is quite inexpensive & good. Staff is also extremely polite & helpful....
