  Our three-day reservation was cancelled upon our arrival last August. We were four people, including two young children. We were taken to another accommodation around 11:30 p.m., which did not meet our initial expectations at all, especially given our little ones. A partial financial compensation was then promised to us, but despite these assurances, that commitment was never honored. We are very disappointed with the way we were treated by the Santafe Hotel. Therefore, we cannot recommend this establishment to future travelers.

  This hotel is located in Fatih which is 20 minutes walk from Haga Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. Overall friendly staff and ok rooms. I see nothing wrong with a few nights stay at this hotel as long as you dont expect a 5 star hotel and an excellent neighbourhood.

  Do not be fooled by high rating on Booking!

  We booked a room for 3 people through Booking. We chose this hotel because on Booking the rating is high (8,9) and the reviews are all positive, but if you check reviews here or on Google, you’ll find the reviews are more truthful and more accurately describe the real situation.Pluses:- elevator;- there is a terminal for payment by card;- location (not far from the main street where tram #1 runs);- air conditioning in the room;- terrace with a view above the 5th floor;- towels and slippers;- mini fridgeMinuses:- the hotel staff rarely answers messages on Booking- there is no trash bin in the room;- for 3 people in the room there were 1.5 rolls of toilet paper, and they gave another roll only when we asked to clean the room on the 3rd day of our stay (the room was booked for 5 nights);- no breakfast; It's better to find a hotel with breakfast because eating in local cafes/restaurants is expensive and untasty;- the windows of the room for 3 persons face a busy street with constant noise of cars, whose drivers love to honk constantly;- noisy; if you don’t sleep soundly until the morning, then without earplugs you will be woken up by cars and noise from the street all night;- the room will be cleaned only if you ask at the reception and if the receptionist remembers to ask the cleaner (there is no door hanger asking not to disturb or to clean)- the Internet often stopped working or worked very slowly; - the bathroom is very small and terribly dirty; The bathroom walls clearly haven't been cleaned since opening; - hair dryer with wires in a dangerous condition; - only one room key card for 3 people;- no laundry service, - no ironing equipment in the hotel;- no safe in the roomOver all, if you are not afraid of the problems listed above, then you can stay here, but the hotel is clearly not worth the price that the owners are asking for it. There were other options, with breakfast, also in the same area and cheaper, but we git cheated by the hotel’s high rating on Booking.com.

  Don't believe pictures or booking.com!!

  Rooms are too small, old, run down with mold and grime all over, not like pictures. It's advertised on booking.com as 3 star hotel but on google it's 2 star and it is. Shower is broken in all rooms. Water is either too hot or too cold with bad drainage and the heater didn't work in economic rooms. It's also far from any public transport nearly 15 min walk uphill. so depressing

  If it wasn't for the one helpful young man behind the front desk this would of been one star. The first room we were checked into had rotting banana skins in the bedside drawers! We were in the budget section but still, didn't expect to be in a basement stepping over dirty laundry.
