    Not very impressed

    rating01 Aug 2025

It was my first time visiting Istanbul and we were sent to this hotel through our package provider, Love Holidays.Advantages of staying at this hotel: You are a nine minute walk from the tram stop, Sultanahmet, The Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. You are also close to many restaurants and supermarkets for buying your amenities. The staff are very friendly and speak very good English. But that’s where the good things stop. I hate to carry on but I have to.The disadvantages of this hotel: it is a very dated building, there is no lift in this hotel, but there is one in the Sarniç premier, which is weird. We were first given a tiny room with a window that overlooked a wall, that was it. I was very distressed. We were moved to a room with a lot more light in which was fine. My fiancé and I discovered that the bathroom was disgusting. The shower was full of black mold, there was some kind of electrical wiring sticking out of the wall which was dangerous in itself, and the toilet leaked. We had to keep putting towels around it or we would’ve slipped and fallen. The next thing was the mirror in the room was coming away from the wall. Do they normally do that?Next were the other guests in Room 402. We stayed from July 28th to August 2nd 2025. Throughout our stay, every single night, the guests in that room kept slamming the doors so hard, leaving at all hours of the day it stopped us from going to sleep until late. At first we thought it was the staff quarters but I followed the guests I suspected it was up and knew it was them. Then comes breakfast. We knew it would be different to what we eat but it was very lacking in terms of international cuisine. One coffee machine and one juice machine.Evening meal was just as bad. The food was microwaved to heat it up and my fiancé was poorly (sick) from eating this chicken dish we had. We appreciated what we got but I question the hygiene standards. You had to go up so many flights of stairs to get to the room. If you have mobility problems please do not stay at this hotel.Sarniç Hotel needs a major refurbishment. Unfortunately we will not be returning here if we visit Istanbul again. But I just want to say the staff were wonderful and kind, we appreciate everything they’ve done for us. They were very kind to offer us a room as my fiancé struggled with the stairs, but we were checking out the next day so there was no point.

Comfortable hotel with excellent location in Istanbul

    rating07 Jun 2025

We stayed at the Sarnic Premier Hotel during our vacation in Istanbul, at the end of our trip, and had an excellent experience.Booking was easy and check-in went smoothly. The staff were very kind and helpful, always clear with their explanations and ready to answer all our questions. The location is one of the hotel’s main highlights. It is in Sultanahmet, the historic area of Istanbul, just a short walk from the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The neighborhood is safe and ideal for exploring the city on foot. The hotel is comfortable, and the rooms are quiet and well-maintained. It doesn’t have a pool or gym, but that wasn’t a problem for us. Everything was clean and organized, and the breakfast was excellent — diverse, well served, and consistently replenished.Another positive point was the support we received for local tours. We took a paid boat tour arranged by the hotel, and they managed everything, from pickup to instructions, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. We felt well guided and very safe. The value for money is excellent, especially considering the comfort, service, and prime location. I highly recommend Sarnic Premier Hotel for anyone looking for convenience, hospitality, and easy access to Istanbul’s main attractions.

    Basic hotel with rude staff

    rating28 Dec 2024

The rooms are not as seen in the pictures. The room were very basic. For the first room we had an issue with the electrics as the key socket was broken. The second room did not have a shower enclosure thus flooding the bathroom every time. The AC was just a switch on the room and did not heat or cool the room. Also there were cats fighting continuously outside a window throughout the night. The third room , the door was very tight which lead to the frame breaking. The breakfast had a very basic spread- not many options. They did not even have hot water at breakfast. The worst experience was at checkout. They wanted to charge as for two water bottles that we did not even use saying that it was open. The bottle seals were intact bit they still charged us for the same.

    7 Days Stay with turbulence

    rating12 Oct 2024

Very friendly staff. Terrasse has a beautiful view of the blue mosque. Dinner definitely not recommended, for drinks ok. However it is a noisy area the walls are thin, we had to switch rooms twice and received a supposingly none smoking room which it wasn’t. The breakfast ist limited in the variety and definitely not a recommendation for a person with dietary restrictions e.g. lactose intolerance gluten etc. Furniture is definitely over it’s live span, shower not working properly. Location is close to the blue mosque and Bahia Sophia. Due to the negative experience only 2 out of 5.
