Location

Located in the heart of the historic area of Istanbul, known as Sultanahmet, this attractive hotel is an ideal base for cultural and sightseeing tours or even business appointments. With some of the city's most famous historic monuments within a 15-minute radius by foot, the hotel provides stylish and comfortable accommodation while soaking up the historic character of the area. Various restaurants, bars, nightspots and links to the local public transport network are all to be found some 200 m away. St. Sofia Museum and the Blue Mosque are both around 5 minutes' walk from the hotel, which is about half an hour away from shopping venues by public transport.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 4-storey building with a lift and 22 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     The experience was very good. Everything was as advertised. Excellent location, good breakfast. The noise level was acceptable. The staff was very friendly. Mustafa and the other reception staff were excellent. We only suggest improving the room cleaning.

    Centrally located and very close to Blue Mosque etc. Breakfast was a full Turkish spread with meats fruit and vegetables. Staff friendly and helpful. Room small but the window opened to get air in.

    The hotel is situated in a beautiful area that would have you thinking you are in italy! lovely cute street with cobbles and beautiful hanging flower baskets and retaurants and hotels along the street. I had a very enjoyable stay here and I am due to go back this month with my children. always felt very safe in the hotel and the area and the management team were very helpful and friendly. My parents come here year on year and feel very safe and have an amazing time! Very good value for your money

    We stayed at the Senatus hotel for 5 nights. We booked a double deluxe room with balcony, it was just as pictured on the website.The hotel is a 3 to 4 minute walk to the main attractions eg. Blue Mosque, Topkapi etc. We've been to Istanbul many times and this hotel was one of the best.It's situated on a street with bars, restaurants and little mini markets. All convenient.The breakfast was typical Turkish and plentiful.Staff all friendly and helpful.We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

    Nice little hotel, helpful staff, clean room, comfortable beds and a decent breakfast. About a 45 min taxi from the IST airport, cost is $35 euro or $1,000 lira which is very reasonable. The hotel is in the heart of the tourist area, you will be constantly hounded to buy something from the stores but say no thanks, and continue walking.
