This boutique hotel is just a 10-minute walk from some of Istanbul's most famous sights, including the Hagia Sofia church and the Topkapi Palace, and 20 minutes by public transport from the pulsating nightlife around Taksim Square. The nearest tram stop (Gülhane Tram Station) is less than a minute's walk from the hotel.

Facility

54 non-smoking rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by 3 lifts. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a library.     Usually I visit Istanbul in November, but an event in France in early May prompted a trip there, and I realized I could not by-pass Istanbul. The city was full of visitors, a great many from the US, which is not usual in the Autumn. The hôtel was it’s clean, comfortable environment, and the staff was superb as always. Breakfast is buffet styled, with continental and cooked breakfast items. Walking tours and cooking classes are offered gratis, and guests seem to enjoy them. The location is within sight of the Gulhane tram stop, so access to the main sights is easy. Regardless, the staff is the best aspect of staying at this lovely boutique hotel. I could not stay anywhere else.

    Unbeatable Hotel Location in Istanbul

    The hotel is ideally located in the old town of Istanbul Sultanhmet , walking distance to major tourist sites such as Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome, Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern. The atmosphere around the hotel is vibrant with a lot of tourists walking and arriving all at the same time as the hotel is surrounded by shops, stores and restaurants. The train , tram and ferries are just nearby. We got one family room with 1 large bed, 1 single bed and a sofa bed. The room is a bit crampy for our family but bigger rooms were not available for our dates. Nevertheless, the room is beautifully decorated (Ottoman inspired?) , which I appreciated! The bathroom was clean and well supplied with towels and toiletries. The noise in the street wouldn't bother you as long as you closed the glass window. The front desk staff was efficient. The room housekeeper was efficient too and friendly. Our accommodation includes buffet breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea. The Manager was kind and accommodating to the guests.

    Comfortable, Elegant, and Excellent for Independent Tourists

    This was an extremely well located hotel, very near Topkapi Palace and other important places to see. Sirkeci Mansion was beautiful in a way that evoked traditional Turkish elegance but was also comfortable and welcoming. The staff was extremely helpful. I was wary when we were welcomed with a drink and an invitation to listen to an orientation in the hotel's living room before we were shown to our room. But it was not the hard sell of affiliates I feared; it was all useful information. We got oriented to navigating the Old Town area, and offered recommendations for any of the things we might want to do as tourists. The recommendations all seemed to be in the spirit of keeping us from getting ripped off by tourist traps or overspending, and so were much appreciated. The room was very nice; it was big and we liked the dark wood floors with carpets. It was very clean, felt quite safe, and had a comfortable bed and excellent water pressure. The room staff noticed we drank the instant coffee they supplied and gave us twice as much after that. The hotel lays out a large breakfast buffet with a wide variety of tasty dishes. We felt like we could ask the desk staff anything and get reliable help. I cannot come up with a complaint about this place ( unusual for me). I highly recommend Sirkeci Mansion to anyone, but especially to independent tourists.

    This hotel has the most wonderful staff! My husband has celiac disease and they have gone above and beyond to help him, including giving him a box filled with gluten-free snacks! Perfectly located for tourist activities, nice rooms and with a garden view room you look out at the park! Highly recommend.
