    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sultanhan Hotel - Special Class in Istanbul. The hotel has a beautiful classic Ottoman style that gives it a unique charm and character, while still being elegant, comfortable, and exceptionally clean.The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered a wide variety of choices each morning. One of the best features of the hotel is its central location. Many of Istanbul's most famous historical attractions are within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city and conveniently return to the hotel for a break during the day.What truly made our stay memorable was the outstanding staff. They were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our visit. They assisted us with arranging tours, recommending restaurants, and suggesting things to do around the city. When we needed a dentist, they even went out of their way to help us find one. Their dedication to ensuring guests have a wonderful experience was evident in everything they did.The housekeeping staff was also excellent, keeping our room spotless and always being courteous and helpful.We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Sultanhan Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. Its beautiful atmosphere, excellent location, outstanding service, and attentive staff made our trip both convenient and enjoyable.

    Great location on a quiet side street but close to all sights and many restaurants. Front desk friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast had lots of choices. Room was comfortable and had a small balcony with sea view. Would highly recommend.

    Great location, excellent for first time visit to Istanbul

    Excellent location, ideal for all major sites but quiet enough for good sleeping. Staff both friendly and helpful but not constantly selling trips etc. Good location for first Istanbul visit. Hotel needs to fix its email, very difficult to make direct contact. Also, had one meal in restaurant and food was very good, with great night views but was almost empty.

    Excellent location, very close to main sites but in a quiet, partially pedestrianised, side street. Room was large and clean and staff all cheery and helpful.Only reservations are that the hotel email does not work and booking direct expensive. We booked a package through Turkish airlines which was much cheaper.

    Highly Disappointed in this hotel that we patronized for over 10 years

    Long-time customers, but unfortunately this hotel no longer values our loyalty. On this recent trip, we were charged about 30% more than comparable hotels, which was already disappointing.The issues only got worse from there—the room temperature was over 85°F, making it impossible to sleep, the fridge didn’t work (we were given excuses and it was only fixed in the last two days), and the toilet required multiple flushes to function. Despite daily complaints to the managers and other staff, nothing was properly fixed. On the other hand, we loved the breakfast dinning room staff and housekeeping, who were very warm and welcoming, particularly Emel. After ten visits, this will be our last. For the prices they charge—higher than the InterContinental—they should be doing much better.
