    We stayed at this hotel after disembarking from a Norwegian cruise. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. It’s a beautiful high-end hotel with excellent service.We did experience an issue with the internet, which was stressful since I do need to work while traveling. The staff genuinely tried to resolve the problem and ultimately upgraded us to another room to make things right. Their kindness and willingness to accommodate us really stood out.While I don’t think Istanbul is a destination I would personally return to, if I ever did come back, I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.     The Bank Hotel Istanbul was easily one of the most atmospheric and character filled hotels of our trip. The property has a completely different feel to the larger international chain hotels in the city and suits the Karaköy neighbourhood perfectly. The building itself is beautiful, with a strong sense of history and a boutique feel that still manages to feel refined rather than overly trendy. Public spaces have real personality and the hotel overall feels far more connected to İstanbul than many of the larger luxury properties. Location is excellent for exploring Karaköy, Galata, the ferry system, and much of the older parts of the city. We found ourselves walking almost everywhere. There is an enormous amount of life around the hotel with cafés, restaurants, bars, bakeries, ferries, and small streets all immediately nearby. It felt energetic and authentic without becoming overwhelming. Our room was not especially large, but it was stylish, comfortable, and well designed. The overall aesthetic of the hotel feels mature and understated rather than flashy luxury, and suited the character of the building well. The rooftop bar was another highlight of the stay, with excellent cocktails and amazing panoramic views across İstanbul, the Golden Horn, and the Bosphorus. It was an outstanding place to relax in the evening and really added to the atmosphere of the hotel. We also dined at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Serica Restaurant, which was excellent. The food quality was among the best we experienced during our trip and the service was genuinely outstanding, easily some of the warmest and most polished hospitality we encountered in Türkiye. The restaurant itself has developed a strong reputation within İstanbul’s dining scene and it was easy to understand why after dining there. Service throughout the hotel overall was warm and personable. Staff felt approachable and genuinely welcoming rather than overly formal. The Bank Hotel will not suit travellers looking for resort style luxury facilities or oversized rooms, but for travellers wanting character, location, atmosphere, and a stronger sense of İstanbul, it is a very compelling place to stay.     This hotel checked all the boxes for me! Boutique, charming, personal, quiet, beautifully and stylishly decorated, gorgeous and comfortable rooms, always the perfect music selection in the restaurant (tasteful, not to loud, added to the vibe which I think can make or break a dining experience), nice buffet breakfast with a wide variety of both western and Turkish options, helpful receptionists, excellent location. I am very particular and do a lot of research before deciding where to stay and I can say that I was NOT disappointed! Highly, highly recommend if you looking for the above attributes in a hotel.
