  Avoid this place like a plague - dirty unwashed linen , filthy unclean bathroom and reception staff non - existent… we booked but checked out within an hour of arrival …feel free to stay if you enjoy bed bugs 🙏😱

  It was a good hotel with comportible accessibility but it,s service was bad....we were not comportible with forniture in it.we were 2 couple but 2 room that was belonged us was two seprate and single bed... then we asked for a warm blanket but they didnot bring us in all 3 night that we were there. There was not any things to drink even water in the refrigrator. We werenot comfortable in it at all.

  Stayed for 3 nights in a twin room, 2nd floor. The staff is very polite and hardworking, you'll see them performing all sorts of task not only those specific to their department.The rooms and nice and very clean, normal sie for this category of hotel in Istanbul, complimentary water in the minibar. Good water pressure in the shower and no issues with hot water. Water in Istanbul can be a little harsh, so you might consider bringing a body lotion.Breakfast always fresh and quite varied for the price (cold meats and cheese, different egg dish daily, some fresh vegetables, some pastry, cereals, etc and of couse turkish tea, coffee and juice). All in all, a wide selection for the price.It`s a good place to stay if you want to visit the main attractions. You can get to the tourist area either on foot (15-30min walk) or by taking the tram (a little bit complicated but very efficient and quite affordable).Lack of restaurant for lunch/ dinner, but considering the large number of restaurants in the area, better to take advantage and explore a little. Avoid the restaurants on the main street, go to the side alleys where the locals go, it`s tastier and cheaper.Low WiFi signal in room (got better reception from hotel accross the street), but good in lobby.Would stay again.

  A Good Base for Exploring Istanbul

  I'm glad that I booked this hotel in Yenikapi rather than stay in the very busy Taksim or Sultanahmet. Yenikapi has a more authentic local feel to it and the shops aren't exorbitantly priced. City Port Hotel is a good base for exploring Istanbul. The Yenikapi Metro Station is close by and you can walk casually to Aksaray for the tram. The room may be small but it's clean and well- maintained. The breakfast buffet consists of typical Turkish fare-- fresh veggies, boiled eggs and cold cuts. The reception staff were all very polite and helpful. A few paces from the hotel are several restaurants, baklava shops, souvenir stalls and Turkcell shops. Will definitely consider if ever I return to Istanbul.

  Location was the best point

  We stay 5 nights in this hotel, the best point about the hotel was the location which is directly infront of a main metro station which u can access to every where in stanbul, room was clean but they didnot clean the room every day! The hotel was more like a 3 stat hotel as 4, the breakfast was not really good , and the staff of restaurant were not really friendly, but the reception and the owner who was an old man were really friendly ,
