  Excellent Location, Clean Rooms & Great Comfort at The City Suite Hotel ÜMRANİYE

  I had a very pleasant stay at The City Suite Hotel and would definitely recommend it, especially for guests looking for comfort and a prime location on the Asian side of Istanbul. The hotel is conveniently located close to JJ Arena, making it an ideal choice for events, business trips, or short city stays.One of the biggest advantages is its proximity to major shopping and lifestyle centers such as Buyaka Shopping Mall, Canpark Shopping Mall, and Meydan Istanbul Mall. Whether you want to shop, dine, or relax, everything is just a few minutes away.The rooms were spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable, offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere after a busy day. Another major plus is the on-site parking facility, which is a huge convenience for guests traveling by car in Istanbul.Overall, The City Suite Hotel offers excellent value with its central location, clean rooms, easy access to shopping malls, and parking availability. A great choice for both business and leisure travelers — I would gladly stay here again.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended!

  When we arrived receptionist was very kind. We arrived quite late. But had to wait very long time because their system was down. When we get to room finally it looked not bad. I was pleased that we had baby cot as I asked when booked it. Unfortunately cot was broken. But at least my baby had place to sleep. At the beginning staff was very nice and friendly. But our room wasn’t cleaned for few days. Just brought in water, changed towels and that’s it. The first bedding change was after 7 days. It is unacceptable. Floor wasn’t washed for all 9 days we spent in hotel. At least we had separate bathroom with toilet. Our friends who was in this hotel with us had room together with toilet and shower. No walls. We were shocked. As I said at the begging staff was friendly. But at the end they lost kindly attitude. Food is not bad at hotel. But small choice. Basically you have to eat one and the same. I asked help to order some food from kebab. The first time one of reception guys helped me. Next time other receptionist said he is not going to help and ignored me near desk. Just said order food from our restaurant. Yes, there is free car parking space. Free. So I can say if you want anything then pay extra money and you will be served the best. Because I saw what attitude staff had to Turkish clients and what it was to us. I just can say I’ll never go back to this hotel. It’s not the worst. But they have to think about foreign customers as well. And put more attention to cleaning rooms.

  The worst experience ever

  My boyfriend and I decided to spend the weekend in Istanbul and booked a Deluxe room with a double bed, whenever we went to do the check in the receptionist told us that our room was already occupied and he gave us a standard room instead, no refund for the difference in price, no apology, no nothing. He told us instead that we could switch room in the morning as the one we wooked and we were charged for became available next day. We did so and on Saturday bee change every thing to our new room, spent the day out and when we came back at night there was a huge pond of water in the floor, the water was coming from the ceiling, there was a leak just where the light was, so dangerous. We called reception and said they couldn't do anything as the hotel was all booked up so we could decide between sleeping in the room with the leaking ceiling or sleeping in the lobby. We complained to the manager next morning and until 12pm, just when we were leaving, they weren't able to offer us any solution, at the end they offer us either lunch or a late check out which weren't options for us as we had to leave already. He told us then that he would talked to a responsible and contact us next day, well, we still waiting. Never I've been treated that bad in my life.

  Terrible place the sheets had not been changed for 2 days and when I went to reception to tell them why the sheets haven’t been changed they told me “do you change your sheets everyday at home?” The room was swarming with ants and my wife And my child had been bitten badly. The hotel staff didn’t take this seriously. The travel cot we were given for our child was broken. They couldn’t even call us a taxi from the reception, this was clearly too much of an inconvenience for them. Very unhelpful and unprofessional staff and rooms are not cleaned properly. Avoid at all costs.

  It was a pretty strange stay and probably easiest to list the pros and cons.Pros:Location - if you want a real sense of life in Istanbul, away from the tourist areas, then this is great. We did enjoy this aspect.Staff - the staff were friendly, courteous and well-meaning.Air con - our room was beautifully cool. Great air con and a balcony which was nice.Food - the food/room service was very cheap. The French toast was the best we’d ever had! Views - we loved the view from our balcony of many colourful Turkish buildings.Shower - great, powerful shower!Cons:Location - It was very difficult to get taxis to, as the surrounding roads were shut. It’s also in a very hilly/bumpy area so not a pleasant drive.Sleep - The room featured blinds with gaps in between, meaning the room was never dark and got light very quickly. There were also small ceiling windows dotted around that couldn’t be covered and kept the room even brighter. The walls were actually the thinnest I have ever experienced, and it felt like we were in a caravan. The whole floor seemed to shake if someone shut their door, and you could hear everything your neighbours did/said (including showering and more!).Room - our room had extremely low ceilings and therefore the bed also had to be very low to the ground. Certain areas of the room were only accessible by crouching down to reach. I wouldn’t stay here again, through no fault of the staff, just the difficulties in travel and the inevitable sleep deprivation.
