    Lovely hotel with an amazing view of the river at breakfast time. Clean, comfy and modern surg friendly staff.Convenient location as it's close to train station, 10 min walk to the tram, 5 mins to the Galeta tower.The road is on is a bit shabby but it's it felt safe even at night. Would stay again.     You must take a room away from the front road as if not the traffic noise will be heavy. Very clean, lovely reception staff. A good bed and shower. The area is tucked away from main Karakoy but you can walk to it within 10 minutes. It is probably not the best area to stay if you are new to Istanbul. There was a park directly opposite and you could walk the Halic Metro bridge (train) to the other side and easily jump on a tram 2 to 3 stops and be at Balat.     It was very good, close to everything to see and very clean. Service was very friendly and the views from the breakfast place is wow. The Restaurant Yuca best service and cocktails and desserts. And the breakfast was very very delicious and every day had something new. Totally recommend it!     Halich Hotel, you don't need to look any further

    An absolutely brilliant stay at the Halich Hotel. It is located very near the metro and on the doorstep of everything you need to see in Istanbul. We stayed in the new section of the hotel and enjoyed breakfast on the breathtaking rooftop terrace overlooking the Golden Horn and all the beautiful buildings which landmark this busy harbour. Have to say the breakfast at the Halich and the quality of the staff were outstanding. We were just around the corner from Galata Tower and a short walk to Ataturk Koprusu the incredible bridge that leads to to Faith and Sirkeci. Love the easy and efficient public transport system Istanbul has to offer, we were close to ferries, trains and trams and used all of these to get around. Just buy an Istanbulkart and load it up with $20.00 Aud you'll see it goes a long way. When in Istanbul don't stay anywhere else.
