    All reception Staff knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and accommodating. Priority to our arrival we experienced great communications with Aydin and Nourssi regarding our tours and transportation. Staff Arranged a fantastic one-day private group walking tour, Bosphorus tour and all transfers from cruise port to hotel and hotel to airportBreakfast excellent with nice terrace views. Lovely rooftop terrace restaurant. All restaurant staff friendly and happyExcellent location, walking distance to all major sites and Arrasta BazaarRooms are small and dated, but clean.A big thank you to Aydin and Nourssi for all of their help

    Great location, amazing staff, very nice breakfast buffet. Staff arranged our transportation to and from the airport, our city guide and Turkish bath reservations.

    Staying at The Magnaura Palace Hotel was a fantastic experience. The hotel is located in the old town of Istanbul within walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cisterns, and the Grand Bazaar. The staff is amazing. They were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay special. The hotel arranged tour guides for us that were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The maid even left us a very cool artistic display our last day there. The rooftop restaurant has fantastic food and unbeatable views of the Sea of Marmara and the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia lit up at night. The waitstaff is incredible. I wanted to include a video of our very charming waiter doing the presentation of the testi kebab which is really quite something to experience, but apparently trip advisor won’t allow that. I highly recommend this place. Everything about it was perfect

    Nothing palatial about this 'palace'

    This is a nice basic hotel, it is not a 5* hotel! I booked a superior sea view room - we looked at a near derelict building. We were on the 4th floor, the breakfast/restaurant was on the 5th, all we could hear were chairs scraping on the tiles & music from above. The room had a fridge with a glass frontage & an internal light, which was permanently on, which we had to cover with a coat every night to be able to sleep. Nothing luxurious about the room/hotel at all - clean & basic.The staff were extremely friendly, especially the maids.We had higher expectations given the price we paid for a week. The Superior Sea View category refers to rooms that offer a partial or angled sea view, which is stated on our booking platforms. In historic city centers, especially like ours, surrounding older buildings are common and unfortunately beyond our control.Regarding the noise from the breakfast area, we regret the disturbance and understand how this could be uncomfortable. Had this been reported during your stay, we would have done our best to assist with a room change or alternative solution, subject to availability.The refrigerator light is a standard minibar feature designed for safety and visibility. We acknowledge that it may be inconvenient for light-sensitive sleepers, and your comment has been shared with management for review.We are pleased that you found the hotel clean and that our staff, especially the housekeeping team, made a positive impression — your kind words about them are truly appreciated.While we respect that expectations can differ, we do believe the hotel delivers good value for its category and location.     Nice, family run boutique hotel very close to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
