  The staff were very kind, especially Polint and Jamal. Very good hotel for the price. The hotel was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The location was very cdntral to everywhere in tve city. I 100% recommend this hotel.

  I spent 10 nights in this hotel from 23 Dec 2019 to 02 Jan 2020. I was accompanied by my wife.This hotel has an excellent location in the Yenikapi area (Fatih District), located at just 100 meters from metro, Havaist 1 (to and fro airport), Ferry and buses linking all Istanbul districts.It is a 4-storey building with 3 rooms at each level, with no lift to go to the upper floors. I could get a room at the first floor since I requested for it when booking my stay (5 months earlier). The room was small but clean and with excellent heating since my visit was in December. The bathroom was fine with a good shower area. Only the tub was small. Two face towels and two bath towels were changed daily and so the room cleaning.The breakfast was fairly poor with one piece each of butter, Nutella, jam and honey. A cup of tea (or coffee), some water and an egg (hard) completed the tray prepared by the receptionist. The coffee and tea machines as well all the breakfast ingredients were behind his counter. So, the customer could not get served by himself. Later, the receptionist explained that that procedure was established to avoid any food wasting.Security was well present and only the hotel residents could get inside the lobby or the reception area.The only few things that are to be mentioned as minus points are:- Room is small making it uncomfortable for XXL sizes-The next-door hotel has a cabaret and its noises may be a nuisance at times-The breakfast has to be richer and more varied (open buffet is desirable)- For those wishing to watch TV, there is a little choice of channels, so forget about TV.. The Hotel should readjust or reprogram its TV channels-WIFI is good in the lobby area (12 Mega average) but poor in the upper floors where it is rarely over 2.2 Mega.In conclusion, the hotel is good considering its location, staff and cleanliness and mainly its low tariff. I recommend it for couples or even for solos. Large families need to have multiple rooms. For the nice stay I had in the Tolga Hotel, I wish to thank Kalid and Bayram at the reception, the lady in charge of the room cleaning (I don’t remember her name) and the Manager , Mr Şakir (Shaker)

  We spent almost a week there. We got what we expected: clean, small room, good location and great breakfasts (except first day of Ramadan). Everything was OK, price was better than OK, restaurant in nearby was perfect (we hate places designed especially for tourists). Lack of elevator was the one thing we didn't like, but historical building has its rights. It is a very good economy class place for tourists.

  I have stayed in this hotel many times, i travel almost every 2 months to Istanbul and all the times i stay in this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially the owner Mr.Shaker. Very simple delicious breakfast in the early morning. There is no restaurant, however there are tables and sofas at the reception where you can use while having breakfast and watch TV also if you have time. Only disadvantage that there is no elevator, so if you do have heavy bags or tired of stairs ask for a room in the lower floors. Try to take the southern rooms as its more quiet. There is not much view from the hotel however the hotel located in the heart of the city. very close to Yenikip metro station and Aksaray Tram way station which can take you any where in Istanbul. Facilities also around the hotel like 24 hours restaurants of almost all kinds, mini markets, currency exchange shops, bakery, telephone shops and many others. The hotel is safe to keep your staff in the room without any worries. I always keep my key at the reception and never faced a problem missing any thing. Finally if you are coming for business , this will be a good choice for you. if for pleasure this will be a good budget hotel for you... if you are coming with the family then i recommend the last floor (floor 6) for you as it has spacious double bed rooms with AC.... written by Mohammad Qassem

  i stayed again in tolga hotel for one week last February,i think there is no hotel like Tolga because all this service with a very good budget never got it. cleaning and safety is more important thing and when you compare the price with other hotel by same price i am sure in Istanbul you will never ever find like Tolga hotel because of excellent location,cleaning,the manager Mr.Shakir and safetyall of that makes me to choose Tolga again and more
