Go elsewhere, many other better options

The good.*opening windows*water is hot but with limited pressure *free drinking water on request*fridge that works, very old but keeps drinks cool*nice decent coffee mugs and kettle*back rooms quiet from street noise*linen not changed daily, towels were, room tidied each day, for cheap hotel was good service*bathroom clean but small light not workingThe bad.*the bed in Snapper room is extremely uncomfortable, not sure of other rooms, but you can feel the springs when laying on it. Probably most uncomfortable bed ever spent night on. If you have back problems avoid, easy fix is to purchase a proper bed topper.*some rooms extremely small, beware and read carefully which room you are in.*back rooms exposed to hotel straight opposite, need to sit in dark with blinds closed for privacy, put in sheer curtain!*step up to half bath/shower half a metre, not easy to get in and out safely.*noise travels straight thru between floors, could hear above snoring and every word spoken, take ear plugs!!*linen and towels have been used for years, thin and worn. All need replacing. *ripped sheet on bed, housekeeping did not notice, we did, pointed out and promptly changed, big tick for management*there is a very bad sewer smell walking up stairs and in bathrooms. Understand its an old run down area but its not pleasant nor nice. All in all, not impressed at all and would in future will pay a little extra, move closer to centre and up hill, but if you have a low budget and happy for all its problems, its ok, just.

Great rooms: all brand new (fridge included) and set with impeccable taste, very clean and comfortable. Perfect position to walk around many point of interest. We could not have asked for anything better!!

Small hotel with good location run by a nice couple

    rating14 Nov 2019

We got the smallest room in the roof top of the building which has a view of the blue mosque from the window. The room ant bathroom were very small but cozy. We got this room as it was the last one in the hotel the rest of the rooms look much bigger, but we got a very fair price deal. It didn't have a lift so we needed to go upstairs 4 floors every time, but they helped us carrying our luggage to the top room, so no complains. At the reception they gave us a very good advice of where to go and we realized the hotel was in a very convenient location, nearby mini markets and restaurants. The hotel is located 10 minutes walking from the blue mosque and 5 minutes walking to the nearest metro station.

Location is good, 10 min and you are near Hagia Sophia. Personnel is very helpful. Place is very clean, feels like home. All where like on photos. Brecfest was also good. No problem to communicate on English or Russian.

    Horrrrrrrrrrrrribbbbbleeeeeeeeeee

    rating09 Jul 2019

This hotel was HORRIBLE. To start off, the washroom sink kept overflowing and flooding the washroom, the shower was so tiny we didn't even understand how we could possibly shower in there. The room was so tiny, the area was not that great either, it was a dead area. However we didn't let all of these things get to us, and enjoyed our trip regardless. What made me mad is that I left my headphones in my room, underneath my pillow. When I came back at night, I couldn't find them. I emailed the hotel and said "I cannot find my headphones can you please ask the cleaning lady.. they were expensive". I said to ask the cleaning lady because I was afraid that when the cleaning lady changed my sheets, maybe my headphones got taken away with them OR maybe she placed them somewhere else. Shortly after she came upstairs and started screaming (in a different language, no idea what she said), and the hotel manager called and said "I accused her of stealing". First of all, no I did not. If he contacted her and asked her if she had stole the headphones, that's on him. I never used the word "steal" once. So, if you're asking your staff if they stole, maybe that's questionable on your part and your staffs credibility...why did your head go towards "stealing" the minute I asked where my headphones were? I later found the headphones placed on the table - which by the way, if you are cleaning someones room, you should put their belongings where you originally found them. What was mind boggling in this whole situation is when I rated the hotel, I gave them a 3.3 rating, which is generous on my behalf considering the washroom was leaking, it was tiny to the point we couldn't use the shower, the hotel staff didn't know a word of English which made it hard to communicate, the headphones situation pissed me off...but what was mind boggling was, the owner of the hotel texted my father and started cursing at him for giving a 3.3 rating. 3.3 is pretty generous considering the service we received, ALSO if you are unhappy with the customers rating, you learn and improve from it, you don't contact them and start cursing and yelling at them. NO ONE BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!
