  Great central location. Tram is super close. Many local shops near by including restaurants and cafes. Lovely owners of the hotel. Room comes with all kitchen features. Cons: Beds were too soft not to our likings. Lighting isn’t the best quite dark. Breakfeast is very basic I didn’t enjoy it (we didn’t look for good breakfeast with the hotel as we wanted to try the cafes nearby) Wasn’t too fussed about the cons as we stayed only for a couple nights we also didn’t spend too much time in the hotel and we were outside most of the day. I would come back because of the central location and the great hospitality of the owners.

  We had a great stay at Tophane Suites. Owner and staff are very helpful, courteous and amazing. Morning breakfast was fantastic. Location is very convenient and is about 100m to tram. Galata Tower is within walking distance. Enjoyed our trip to Istanbul.

  I have a very disappointing experience in this hotel. 1. We booked for 6 nights and stayed for only 1 night and I was charged 1700 Euro. I talked to the staff the same night upon arrival and notified them that we are not happy with the property and we will be leaving in the morning even though I knew that my booking was not refundable however I felt that I got less than I booked for!? They promised if they get someone to occupy it they will refund my money? Certainly they wont!!?2.The property is located in the middle of up hill street. Very hard to walk up the street to Istklal St. and very difficult to walk down to Galata port and then up even for a fit person.3. The carpet in the living room @ bedroom has stains and not clean.4. The bathroom knob was broken.5. The main door can’t be looked from the inside.6. Very noisy at night due to motorcycle & vehicles sounds die to poor insulation.7. Curtains don’t close completely allowing lights even at night.8. Only small entrance to the building no seating area and no lobby. 9. At night the main door is locked and you have to ring a bell for someone to open the door for you.10. It’s private building not a hotel and I don’t recommend it for specially Middle Eastern families our families with elderly people.11. We did not feel safe in the area.12. Breakfast area in the roof is small, congested, and not welcoming.13. Towels change every 3 days

  Fantastic hotel in Istanbul

  The best place to stay in this area of the city. Conveniently located near the Tophane tram stop. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. Facilities and services were excellent. Great value for money. Serdar at guest relations was wonderful and had fantastic recommendations. Cannot wait to go back!
