    Service Above and Beyond

    rating28 May 2025

I booked my stay at the Azade Premier Hotel after reading a review in Rick Steves Istanbul guidebook, and for its location in Old Town within easy walking distance of Istanbul's major historical attractions. I had not expected the incredible service provided by the entire staff, beginning with Sinan and extending to every employee I encountered. The room was large, the bed incredible comfortable and the shower a perfect combination of rain and power. Two things highlighted my stay here; 1) on arriving I found I had left my phone on the airplane. Sinan tracked down the location where it would have ended up and then arranged for a taxi to deliver me to the exact airport door for me to enter. to my relief, the phone had been turned in and was soon back in my hands; and 2) I talked with Sinan about the foods I was looking forward to eating at breakfast and he arranged for them to be prepared for me the very next day. What more could I ask for. Hopefully I can return to Istanbul with my wife and will look to the Azade for service and comfort once again

Great location, be prepared for noisy fellow guests

    rating16 Aug 2023

We stayed 7 nights in this hotel. 5 Stars for location, receptionist Mustafa and the cleaning ladies who kept the rooms spotlessly clean and decorated with flowers, the rest was alright. To get to the reception area in the basement you have to walk 13 steps which can be hard if you are handicapped. To start with we couldn't get the room category we had booked and stayed on the ground floor. It was a rather spacious room but didn't have the amenities and looked quite tired. Our room for the rest of the stay was on the 3rd floor. It was comfortable and had a beautiful sea view. The shower should be re-grouted. There was no traffic noise however, some inconsiderate guests seemed to live in the hallways and between their open doors we could hear the shouting and kids running around on several evenings until midnight. The breakfast was not to our liking. The catering might be more for oriental guests but French fries, mashed scrambled eggs with tomatoes (or peppers?) or cold pasta salad we hadn't come across during previous visits to Turkey. We missed some regular scrambled eggs and sliced cheese and there was supposed to be a charge for an omelet (which was waived after speaking to the reception). The roof terrace is beautiful and we regretted that only breakfast was served there. A bar or restaurant would have been great where one could have a drink whilst enjoying the stunning views. The area is obviously very touristy and restaurants are quite pricey.

Centrally located close to main attractions

Within 300mts to Haggia Sofia and Blue Mosque. Room is nice and clean. Must have been a great hotel a while ago, now it has aged and refurbishment is required in the rooms. Lobby had a faint moldy smell and is found in the basement with regards to the road. Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is on the rooftop with an amazing view of the sea and surroundings and has a good spread. Lots of restaurants around to eat. This area is very touristy and quite pricy.

    Good location , good value.

Generaly a good hotel Location is excellent Clean, staff friendly , free internet. Close to sightseeings. In general the Rating in Turkey seems higher than the actual standard so I think a 4 star is a 3 and so on. But this hotel was the same prices as all others I guess but with good location and good standard.
