    Elegant Stay in the Heart of Sultanameht

    We picked this hotel on Rick Steve's advice, and we weren't disappointed. The family/staff were helpful and attentive. The breakfasts on the rooftop were wonderful. The rooms are small, but elegant and comfortable. Everything in good working order. It's a busy location, but the location is extremely convenient. We walked to Topkapi grounds, Blue Mosque, Spice Market and Grand Bazaar. It was quiet at night.

    The best place in Istanbul. It’s in an absolutely privileged location. Don’t expect a hotel with huge rooms or endless buffets — it’s simple and family-run, but its staff is incredibly attentive and friendly.We’d especially like to send our regards to the person in charge of breakfast on the hotel’s terrace. Their professionalism and warmth make you feel completely at home. We’ve never felt so well looked after, with such genuine, personal attention.Without a doubt, this would be our hotel if we ever return to Istanbul.

    The room was cold, they cleaned poorly, after cleaning they constantly forgot to put water, tea and shower gel, shampoo, did not always bring it to the reception upon request. Breakfast was scarce, mostly vegetables and boiled eggs, cereals and several types of bread, every day there was an omelet from the heat. Cakes (only one type) were liked, there were no oriental sweets. From fruits are made wormy apples and sour tangerines. For 4 stars, a completely different level of service was expected.

    5 min from Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace plus lots of restaurants. Beautiful room. Great breakfast with lots of variety. Most of all warm and welcoming staff everywhere who helped with transport to and from the airport and restaurant recommendations. And lots of tea. We would stay there again!

    I highly recommend you stay in this hotel especially if you’re traveling alone or as a couple. Their staff is generous, kind, considerate, and deeply understanding. You won’t find a better hotel in this area and I know there are many.We stayed for a short 2 nights and we were traveling on a very tight budget after a tough year financially. They were incredibly hospitable, spoke good English, did not judge us, and took the initiative anytime they saw us struggling with luggage or finding something. The other guests are also friendly, which isn’t always the case.Some street noise comes across, so bring earbuds if you’re sensitive to sound. We stayed on the first floor and it was very manageable and comfortable for us (no kids).The cleanliness is top-notch (no dust, clean bathroom, bedsheets, etc.), their breakfast is an exceptional experience, and everything worked (eg remote control, the shower, AC unit, safe locker). I would stay here again and be ready to tip handsomely next time. You feel like you’re staying in someone’s apartment, rather than a hotel. They have a fantastic balance of being personal but also very professional; it was an incredibly rewarding boutique hotel experience that showed us the best of what Istanbul has to offer.
