  avoid rooftop bar

  Quite a central location clean and a good breakfast .But whatever you do don't use the on roof bar just paid 16 pounds for a bottle of beer and small glass of wine .I know hotels are usually expensive but this I felt was a real rip off .Have been year four days and not encountered this before .

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We arrived at 1:00 a.m. and the clerk was so helpful and accommodating. Our room was beautiful and a short walk to the Galata Tower and the Taksim Square area. We also tried the Kunefe at Hafiz Mustafa Cafe and it was delicious. I can't wait to visit Istanbul again.

  Request for Attention to Alleged Workplace Harassment, Privacy Violations, and Psychological MobbingWe would like to respectfully bring attention to a situation involving serious allegations of workplace harassment, violation of privacy, and psychological mobbing connected to a hotel described as a family-run business.According to the account shared by our friend, who was employed there for approximately five years and states that he worked with dedication and commitment, he experienced sustained psychological pressure during his employment.He reports that certain individuals associated with the management disclosed highly personal and confidential information about him to people in the neighborhood where he lived and also to members of his family. These alleged disclosures reportedly included sensitive information related to his sexual orientation and a private health condition that he had chosen to keep confidential.Our friend states that these personal matters were allegedly used in a humiliating and mocking way, which caused significant emotional distress. He further reports that similar information was later shared with a subsequent workplace, where he again experienced ridicule related to his sexual orientation and ultimately felt compelled to leave that job.As a result of these experiences, he states that he had to move away from the neighborhood where he had been living and also faced additional psychological pressure within his family environment. He also indicates that, in certain situations, the events were portrayed in ways that suggested he himself had psychological problems, which he believes misrepresented the reality of what occurred.We believe that every individual deserves respect for their privacy, dignity, and fundamental human rights.   On our way home from UAE back to the US, my best friend and I had 36 hours to kill in Istanbul, so we checked into the Walton Hotel Galata January 3, 2026, through January 5, 2026. In advance of our arrival, we really appreciated that the hotel reached out with an offer to schedule our transportation from SAW to the hotel, in an effort to protect us from getting scammed. We arrived late at night and were completely exhausted. The hotel is quaint and has many charming details, like heated towels in the bathroom. Chian welcomed us like family and provided us each with a free drink ticket to use at the restaurant on the rooftop of the hotel. First of all, the wine beverage we were served was one of the BEST cocktails we have ever tasted, and the pasta we ordered was SO GOOD – we ordered a second batch! Chian went out of his way to help us and to protect us as two single women visiting Istanbul for the first time. Because of the high amount of taxicab and uber fraud in Istanbul, we booked all of our cabs through the Walton Hotel, which really protected us as tourists. Chian assisted us in weighing our luggage to ensure we were underweight, and provided great recommendations for shopping, or anything else you could possibly think of. We truly felt like family while visiting here and would most definitely return! The location is also very central and we were able to walk to many places. Highly recommend making the Walton Galata your next stay while in Istanbul!
