    This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Sultanahmet. It is about a 5 minute walk to the square with a number of restaurants along the way.The staff here are all helpful and friendly.Rooms are small but as described. They have a fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, tv, phone & toiletries. Everywhere was clean.Breakfast has a great view.

    The Yilsam Sultanahmet is tucked away in a little alley between Sultanahmet and the Avrasya Tunnel by the Sea of Marmara. It is impossible to park anywhere in this area, but your car/taxi can drop you off at the front entry. The location is superb, just a short stroll to Hagia Sophia, hippodrome and restaurants.I found reception always busy, but check-in was smooth and I got 109, just 1 floor up. The room is stylish (in an antique way), but very small ; they have crammed in a double bed, 2 desks, side tables and a chair. Excellent Wifi and TV with lots of channels, including international ones. Because I was traveling solo, it was perfect, but 2 people would find it difficult to find space for suitcases. The room, floor and all furniture were immaculate. Bathroom was floor-to-ceiling white marble, again very small, but nice walk-in rainshower.Breakfast is on the top floor and offers wonderful views over the Marmara Sea, mosques, shipping activity and stunning sunrise. The buffet is extensive, not so Western, but good choice of fresh ingredients. There is a good coffee machine, but no proper fresh juice. No egg station, but warmed up scrambled and boiled eggs.Because of its exquisite location, the Yilsam struggles with space and everything feels a bit crammed. But it is a brilliant little boutique hotel in the best location in Istanbul and it offers great value for money.

    Stayed here for 7 days with my friend. It was very clean and comfortable. All the staff were excellent, couldn’t do enough to help you. The breakfast has a fantastic choice of hot and cold food, with pastries, pancakes, fruit and cakes. No evening meal however but just up the road us a Restaurant called Ozi Pizza and Pasta. Delicious food and brilliant service and the price is very good too.
