The hotel is located on the campus of the Aegean University in Bornova and within a 5-minute walk of the metro which goes into the city centre, a journey which takes approximately 10 minutes. Shops, bars and restaurants can be found in Bornova and there is also an outdoor shopping centre and cinema complex approximately 500 m from the hotel. Adnan Menderes Airport is situated at a distance of approximately 20 km.

The hotel has 100 rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. No prior warning of construction and pool closure

Absolutely terrible experience which I have tried to resolve directly with the hotel since checking out, but they can only offer a deal on a future stay , and I swear to never go near an anemon hotel again! Booked via call centre one week before arrival. No news given at time of booking re: construction work. Arrived to find the whole facade was under renovation with builders on scaffolding causing lots of noise and mess. Was shocked to be given a room which was on this front side, complained at reception and was given another room at rear, at this point I was disheartened but willing to overlook the situation. I then went to use the pool and discovered the access path was taped off with red tape due to the building work going on. There was no unrestricted, safe way to access the pool, so in essence the pool was out of bounds, and even if it were safe to access there were workmen hard at work (noisy, messy work) all around, on the ground and up on scaffolding overlooking the pool. Bits of insulation foam from the renovation was floating in the pool. Added to this, the manager was not on site (for a hundred-room hotel this in itself is shocking) and the staff were unsure when the manager would be next on site. After emailing regarding my complaint twice , I finally got a phone call 7 days later, which as mentioned led to no satisfactory resolution, only the offer of a deal on a future stay. I paid around 90 euros for the night based on the fact the hotel had a pool. At no point were we prior warned that the pool was closed due to construction. Terrible customer service throughout. We stayed for 6 nights at ege hotel and it was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. Very very dated. Carpets worn, dirty and torn. Decor smoke stained yellow. Bed very hard. We booked this hotel as it has a pool.... a pool that we could not use as it was not clean or safe. The water was merky. The tiles around the pool had holes in or were missing. But the main thing was the ladder to get in or out the pool was broken so bad it couldn't be used. It didnt look broken at a glance so I got in pool and when I went to get out the ladder steps were broken and I cut my toe quite badly. Not only were the steps unusable the rails moved and were not attached to the pool floor. The sunbeds were broken craxked down the middle so they pinched your skin. The life rings were just lying about. No lifeguard. The pool area itself was very dated which is a shame as it looked like in the past it had a pool bar and space for entertainment. Breakfast was included but was very poor infact nothing we would eat... there was not even a toaster to make toast as a last resort!!! Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid this hotel absolutely shocking

Absolutely disgusting here if your thinking of staying here then please dont! Carpets all stained the room is filthy the blanket is absolutely pathetic I was freezing cold all night and the staff just don't care when you ask for something. I asked for breakfast and got ignored!! Be warned! The room I had was comfortable, although a shower over the bath is a safety risk and the bath surface had several cracks. The water often smelled foul but seemed clean enough. Breakfast and dinner were great. However, I was one of a number of friends staying there and one morning one friend said he had accidentally gone to the wrong room and didn't realise until he'd gone inside- his key card opened a completely different room. Through experimentation, it was discovered that any key card could open many rooms. This level of insecurity is unacceptable. Also, read the fine print- the hotel does not supply a top sheet and the first cotton blanket I had felt like cardboard. Thankfully it was changed after a few days.
