    Brilliant family holiday

    rating28 May 2026

An absolutely brilliant family holiday! We recently stayed here as a group of 11, and every single one of us had an amazing time. The pools are glorious, and you never have to worry about fighting for a spot because there are plenty of sunbeds to go around. The restaurant was another highlight, the food was brilliant with a massive variety to suit everyone, and the service made it even better. A huge shout-out to Yesim for taking such wonderful care of us! The entire bar team was great, but Faik was truly exceptional. Thank you all for a fantastic holiday!

Great for families, but lacking the service, finesse and maintenance of a true 5-star resort.

    rating26 May 2026

    ## ✈️ Travel & Transfer LogisticsThe journey had its frustrations. A **40-minute delay** taking off with Jet2 was made worse by a smelly rear toilet that even the crew acknowledged. Once in Turkey, the **1 hour and 10 minute** airport exit and a long wait on a stifling coach were exhausting. None of this reflects on the hotel, but it's worth noting for the travel experience. On a positive note, Jet2’s recovery of my child’s forgotten hand luggage was **fantastic service**. Getting his toys and sweets back immediately set an excellent tone for the rest of the trip.## 📍 Resort Location & Setting**The Kusadasi Distance:** Jet2 markets the Korumar as being in Kusadasi, but it is effectively a resort-based holiday **12-15km away** from the town. Taxis are pricey (€40 return), so the local bus (120 Lira) is your best bet for exploring the bazaar or old town. * **The Beach:** The hotel's immediate beach is clean, but just outside the boundary, you'll find rubbish and dirty water inlets. Security at neighboring hotels prevents you from walking too far along the sand, though the paved road is good for a morning run. * **Stray Dogs:** There are many outside the resort. They can be aggressive—be prepared to be barked at or chased.## 🏨 Room, Gym & SpaOur **Standard Room** felt like an upgrade with a side sea and garden view. The terrace was massive, though it only had two chairs for three people and no sun loungers. * **The Facilities:** The gym and spa are **superb**. The gym is quiet with quality equipment (open 8am-8pm), and the spa staff deliver exceptional treatments. * **WiFi:** Absolutely horrendous. It is pretty much non-existent in some areas and constantly drops out—a real drawback for a 5-star rating.## 🍔 Dining & DrinksThe food selection is varied and high quality, though more "specialty" meats like steak or fresh fish would have been welcome beyond the usual chicken and lamb. * **Snacks:** The snack bar is a dream for kids—milkshakes, doughnuts, and waffles. The **flatbread lady** is a must-visit for traditional tastes. * **The Lobby Bar:** Open 24 hours and the best place for a proper espresso or watching the sunset from the terrace. * **Peak Occupancy Issues:** During May half-term, the restaurant took on a "school canteen" feel. Staffing levels struggled to keep up; we often saw dirty cutlery left in corridors for long periods and faced 20-minute waits for ice cream.## 🎨 Kids & EntertainmentThe **Kids' Club** is a highlight—the staff do an amazing job. However, watch out for the upselling, such as €15 for t-shirt painting. * **Slides & Pools:** The splash pool is one of the best we've seen. Be aware that the larger slides only open from 11-12 and 2-4 daily. * **Evening Fun:** The entertainment team works incredibly hard. The **fire show** was our favorite, and the bingo (though €10 a sheet) was brilliant with great prizes.## ⚠️ Safety & Hidden Costs**The Burner Incident:** A liquid paraffin burner fell out of a buffet unit and set light to my shoe and leg. The management’s total lack of concern—prioritizing the fallen burger buns over a guest's potential injury—was the most disappointing element of the stay.**Hidden Costs:** * **On-site Supermarket:** Extremely expensive (€50 for an inflatable!). Walk down the beach for local shops with better prices. * **Late Check-out:** €70 until 4pm if available. When we were told no, they immediately tried to sell us a suite upgrade for **€300**. * **The Barber:** Excellent Turkish shave, but be wary of the "manager with the calculator" upselling masks and waxes at the end.### Key Tips for Travelers * **Ear Plugs:** Essential. Families are all in one block, and it gets very noisy. * **Inflatables:** Bring your own to avoid the extortionate shop prices. * **Late Check-out:** Sort it early on your departure morning, but have a backup plan. * **Sunbeds:** You’ll likely have to sacrifice your preferred pool area if you aren't out "at the crack of dawn."> **Overall Rating:** 4* reality vs 5* desire. Great for families, but lacking the service and maintenance of a true 5-star resort.

Lovely hotel if you're used to heat and no aircon

    rating25 May 2026

Lovely hotel, food is good and varied. Although they don't deal with issues very well. Currently at the hotel. Aircon in the room is not working. It is set at 18C. The room for the last 3 nights has been 26C plus. Upto 34C at times. Apparently for it to work you must have the balcony door closed yet when I advised of the issues they suggested I open it to cool the room down. This has now been reported 23rd, 24th, 25th and today 26th May and multiple times on those dates. I came for a rest, not to sweat my backside off in bed every night. Each time we are told it is working. I beg to differ. Also note the slides are only operational 3 hours a day. 11-12 and 2-4. Not a big issue, but not something we knew before coming

    Brilliant!

    rating25 May 2026

We have just returned from an amazing stay at KoruMar Ephesus and honestly had such a lovely holiday as a family. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, clean and has such a relaxed atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Every day just felt easy, sunny and stress-free.We upgraded to one of the large swim-up suites and it was 100% worth it. The room was absolutely AMAZING. Having direct swim-up access from both rooms made the holiday feel extra special and luxurious. The views were stunning, the room was spotless and the overall design felt modern and spacious. It genuinely became somewhere we looked forward to returning to each evening. The only downside was housekeeping occasionally taking towels, dressing gowns and beach towels without replacing them which became frustrating after a few days, but apart from that the room itself was fantastic. The pools and slides were brilliant. The pools were refreshing without being unbearably cold and there were always loungers available which made a huge difference compared to many busy resorts. The slides were honestly one of the highlights and great fun for both kids and adults. The beach itself had lovely soft sand although the sea was darker and less clear than expected.Food overall was good with a decent variety as you would expect from a large buffet hotel. Vegan options were available which we appreciated, although more vegan protein choices would improve things further. One thing we really appreciated was how accommodating they were when asked. Aysun in particular went above and beyond and even arranged freshly made vegan pancakes for breakfast which was such a thoughtful touch. That actually brings me onto the biggest reason this holiday stood out for us: Aysun.Aysun was genuinely incredible from start to finish. She made such a huge impact on our holiday and deserves special recognition. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her and she constantly went out of her way to make sure we were looked after and comfortable. She was warm, caring, approachable and always smiling. By the end of the holiday she honestly felt like our “holiday mum” looking after us all the time and making sure everything was okay. Staff like her are rare and she is a massive credit to the hotel. She turned a very good holiday into a memorable one.The entertainment team also deserve praise because they created a fun atmosphere without being overly pushy which we really liked. Evening entertainment was enjoyable and good quality, although personally I think starting slightly earlier around 20:45 instead of 21:30-22:00 would help younger children enjoy more of it before getting tired. The hotel is definitely family friendly. The kids club was brilliant and the relaxed atmosphere throughout the resort made it feel very comfortable for families. There were a few small negatives. Drinks service in the restaurant started off excellent but towards the end of the holiday there were a few occasions where we were forgotten about completely despite already eating meals. English could sometimes be difficult to communicate with certain staff members, although everyone was always friendly and trying their best. The games room was also surprisingly expensive and it was disappointing to have to pay extra for things like pool tables in an all-inclusive resort. The spa area was nice and relaxing although the massage itself was just okay.To mention we’ve been to 5 all inclusive hotels and this is honestly up there for the best! The location is probably the weakest part of the hotel as there is not much within walking distance. However taxis into Kusadasi were easy enough and around €20. A useful tip for future visitors is that many of the local Instagram shopping stores actually offer free pickups which was really convenient.Overall though, we had such a genuinely lovely time here. The atmosphere throughout the whole hotel was warm, friendly and relaxed and we honestly never had a bad day during our stay. If you are looking for a clean, family-friendly hotel with amazing swim-up rooms, fantastic slides and a chilled holiday vibe, KoruMar Ephesus is definitely worth considering.Sunny, warm and full of good vibes. We would happily return.
