Avoid this hotel, the manager is aggressive and rude

    rating20 Oct 2025

I booked this hotel about a year ago through a third party, where I specified the children and their age. Well today we show up, a very pleasant lady checked us in and gave us a list of rules and was very nice to my youngest daughter giving her fruits from their beautiful grove of tangerines. We were looking around the garden with our bags in the room and everything when this man (manager/owner, don’t exactly know) approaches me and says “you can’t stay here”, I asked why and he said because my 3 children were under 12. I was so surprised but I wasn’t angry until he says “and you didn’t have the children in the reservation because it wouldn’t have let you book the hotel with them”. Now what do you think he’s implying here? That’s when I got upset, I told him I did and he said no. So then when I confront him about saying I’m lying he starts arguing with me instead of considering that there was some kind of mistake, starts actually yelling at me because he wants to say I’m saying he’s lying when I’m actually saying he’s saying I’M lying. I checked my reservation and everything was correct on my end. Apparently the booking company didn’t pass on the kids’ ages which is not my fault. I was actually going to leave considering everything some kind of error and he had to go and accuse me. And the thing is, whether I was lying or not, which I wasn’t, he should never accuse someone and instead should give them the benefit of the doubt because you never want to take the chance of falsely accusing a guest. By the way, his reasoning was because of the pool or some excuse about the kids being unable to stay, when we’ve stayed all over Türkye in several hotels at this point which had normal pools. He handled that extremely poorly and I’m baffled as to why he works in hospitality. In other reviews I have seen there are complaints about a “grumpy guy” and I can only imagine who that is. He also refused to give me any proof that he would cancel on his end just so we’d have proof in the event we we’re wrongfully charged. We had to book a room on short notice, it ended up being further away from the area and at that point I didn’t even feel like doing anything else. The hotel seemed like an oasis in an otherwise very busy and narrow street so if you still want to go, park in a garage close by. I would avoid this hotel just because of that man who lacks any tact. I can’t say anything else for service or state of the room because I wasn’t there long enough to rate that. Korkut ORAY, İşletme Sahibi at Villa Konak Hotel, responded to this review Our hotel can not accept children under the age of 12. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, inspections carried out by the Ministry of Tourism have revealed that the facility is unsuitable for children due to safety concerns. Secondly, the customer profile prefers a quiet and peaceful environment, which is another reason why we cannot accept children. As our customer mentioned, reservations received through booking portals sometimes unfortunately do not provide sufficient information. Therefore, we can only determine whether our customers are accompanying children upon arrival. We sometimes have difficulty explaining this to our customers. In some cases, we see that they think they have been deceived or that they have been lied to. But the truth is that due to technical deficiencies, accurate information does not reach us.

    Felt like a stranger

    rating19 Oct 2025

Chosen this hotel, cause we love boutique hotels. The reason is we love sincere approach and find time to talk with staff. Unfortunately, these expactations never met here. All of the staff look tired and never cared about us. Location is good, but you may find other better options I tihnk. Korkut ORAY, İşletme Sahibi at Villa Konak Hotel, responded to this review This comment surprised me. The reason our customers prefer us most is the friendly and attentive service of our staff. Of course, I don't know what kind of attention you expect. Unfortunately, sometimes the level of attention from our customers doesn't match Turkish hospitality. There's nothing we can do about that.

Beautiful Architecture but Not the Best Stay

    rating22 Jun 2025

The hotel itself has a very charming design and a beautiful architectural style — you can tell a lot of thought went into making it a visually attractive and comfortable space. It’s the kind of place where you might expect to relax and feel at ease. However, our experience was disappointing for a couple of reasons. The cleanliness of our room was not up to standard — we noticed dust and a few areas that clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned. On top of that, the noise from the busy city streets made it nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep, even with the windows closed. It’s a well-intentioned establishment, and the staff seemed genuinely interested in providing good service, but the location and these oversights in basic room comfort make it a place we wouldn’t choose to stay at again. Korkut ORAY, İşletme Sahibi at Villa Konak Hotel, responded to this review We are sorry that we could not meet your expectations. We wish you had informed us about your complaints regarding noise and cleanliness; we would have liked to change your room and do our best to make you happy.

    Fab stay

    rating22 Jun 2025

From stepping through the doors to leaving, this was Turkish hospitality at its finest.Room was basic but spotless bedding and towels changed daily, air conditioning and a good shower.Breakfast is the usual Turkish style with lots of cheese, tomatoes, eggs, vegetables, fruit, nuts cake etc. Freshly made omelettes available and a hot dish of the day.An excellent free coffee machine free of charge during breakfast was a nice touch as was the free water 24hrs a day which is lovely and cold.We had lunch on a couple of occasions and the Kofte and Manti were excellent. The host and staff team are so warm and ready to assist you whenever you require information. One thing to note is that it is situated close to a mosque so when the call to prayer comes in at 4:45 am it can be a shock but after two days we slept through it no problem.A great find Korkut ORAY, İşletme Sahibi at Villa Konak Hotel, responded to this review Thank you for your kind review. “The Hidden Paradise You’ll Want to Keep a Secret (But Can’t)”

    rating11 Jun 2025

You ever find a place so perfect you don’t want to write a review just so no one else finds it? Yeah… that’s Villa Konak. But it wouldn’t be fair to keep this gem to ourselves. If Heaven Had a Check-In Desk, It Would Be at thereIf you're planning to stay in Kuşadası and you're not staying at Villa Konak... well, you're doing it wrong. Full stop. This place isn’t just a hotel — it’s a Turkish fairytale with Wi-Fi. From the moment you step into this charming building (which, by the way, has more history than my high school history teacher ever managed to cover — it dates back to 1923!), you feel like you’ve just been adopted by the warmest, most delightful Turkish family on the planet.Let’s talk location: you're 3 minutes away from all the action — shops, bars, delicious chaos — but the villa itself is tucked away in a peaceful corner so quiet, even your thoughts speak in whispers. It’s the best of both worlds: fun within reach, serenity within walls.Inside? Oh, darling… the lounge welcomes you with a gentle breeze like it was personally trained by a Mediterranean goddess. Step further in and boom! the yard explodes in greenery and flowers like nature itself is showing off. And the pool? So calm, it could put a cappuccino-sipping monk to sleep. We practically whispered our swim. Our room? A whole vibe. Clean, beautifully styled, and full of character — just like the whole property. It felt more like staying in an antique postcard than a hotel. And then comes 5pm… Tea Time. (Yes, capitalized.) This is not just tea — it's an event. You sit with other guests, share stories, smile like you’ve known them for years, and maybe even exchange Instagrams you’ll forget to check. The owners join in, and that's when you realise: this place isn't just run by professionals — it's run by heart. No noise, no fuss, no stress. Just sunshine, kindness, and the occasional cat wandering by like it owns the place (it probably does).Speaking of the owners — he speaks German, she speaks French, and they both speak “hospitality fluently.” They’re the kind of people who make you believe in kindness again. Genuinely warm, helpful, funny, and effortlessly charming. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they were secretly retired royalty from the Kingdom of Lovely. The staff? Always smiling. Always helpful. I tried to find someone grumpy — just for balance — but nope. Even the plants look happy here. Now, you might be reading this and thinking: "Surely there must be a ‘but’..."Well, sorry to disappoint. No “but,” no “however,” no plot twist. Just a perfect stay in a perfect place with perfect people. We will 100% be back. And next time, we’re bringing more people — because joy is best when shared. 🌸 Korkut ORAY, İşletme Sahibi at Villa Konak Hotel, responded to this review Thank you for your kind review.
