  Pool & bar would recommend. Hotel - avoid

  Would not recommend this hotel to stay in. Hotel staff were nowhere to be seen and are not easily recognised as they do not wear name badges or uniforms, could easily be mistaken for a guest. Reception wasn’t manned 24/7 (you would expect this for safety reasons or for anything urgent). Someone in our group fell down the stairs because they were wet - there was no sign to say they were wet nor where they cleaned. She injured her back and the fall could’ve been much worse. Upon arrival we had to pay an extra £145 (this was the total for the 3 of us for 10 nights). £60 for air con which is ridiculous and should be included in the hotel price. £40 for an additional fan as one of us had to sleep on the sofa bed. We paid £20 to keep the room on for our last day. £15 for the safe but we did not use this as the safe was in reception, this did not feel safe at all knowing that the staff had access with a master key. We were only allowed one room key which made it difficult as there was 3 of us meaning if one of us wanted to go the room early, we would need to wedge the door open so we wouldn’t be woken up to a knock on the door. The bedding was changed once during our 10 days despite the cleaner cleaning the room each day & towels only changed at least 3 times. We had to clean the kitchen sink ourselves as there was a bad smell & the cleaner did not clean this. Toilet rolls were also never replenished meaning we had to get it from elsewhere. There is wifi available but only in the pool & bar area. WiFi does not work in the apartments. So false advertisement saying there is free wifi when you can’t even access it in your room.The hotel staff were not friendly at all & were rude to 2 young girls who were staying at the hotel. The only upside to our stay here was the pool & bar. Andrea and her staff were outstanding and looked after the guests. She provides you with towels for the pool so you don’t need to bring your own. The food and drink at the bar are amazing and reasonably priced. All named spirits too. If it wasn’t for Andrea and her staff, we would’ve had to have move hotel.

  I recommend the bar/restaurant area, all are welcome but do not stay in the apartments at club tokmak.

  The only reason I’d recommend this hotel/apartments is the bar/restaurant and pool area. Decorated very nicely, it’s so homey and comfortable and the staff are amazing. Everyone is welcome; Andrea runs it very well, always makes sure you have what you need and goes above and beyond for everyone. Food is delicious, prices of food and drink are very reasonable and area is kept very clean at all times. The hotel staff / owners on the other hand, made my stay hell. We didn’t get clean sheets our whole 9 night stay and only got clean towels after 5 days. No one is ever at reception to check you in or out no matter what time it is or to assist you with any queries regarding rooms, aircon etc. When I did end up catching the owners (whom you won’t be able to tell apart from guests due to the lack of professionalism and uniform) I was met with very aggressive and rude behaviour. The owner, Dilek, clapped in my face repeatedly asking me what my problem was and slammed her hands on the reception desk when I queried politely why no one was at the desk mid morning and advised they should write the hours someone would be present at reception to assist. When I suggested this, dileks brother (co-owner) shouted across to me from feet away “do you expect us to be there 24 hours a day”. They also have their 65+ year old mother “cleaning” the rooms (in other words making the beds with the same sheets for the whole duration of guests stay) and moving your items around the apartment. The apartments do have potential as they are a fairly decent size and have a kitchen built in the living area too. Dilek Tokmak, on my last night decided it would be a good idea to invite all of her friends to the bar area, proceed to elbow me and have her friends shout in mine and my friends faces that one of them was going to “rip us apart” and 2 others started to put their hair up to attempt to intimidate us and scare us. I have video evidence of all of this and it was also on CCTV. When Dilek realised their attempt to scare us was not working, she got worked up and called the police. The police came and stated to dilek that she would be taken away due to her causing the problem so then wanted to retract her “complaint” against me and ordered them to tell me to apologise despite her following that statement with “I’m not going to accept” her apology. If Andrea was not there to resolve all of this for me, me and my friend would have had to have found somewhere else to stay due to her losing her temper numerous times and telling us to get out in front of other guests. The other guests had come over to me on multiple different occasions to tell me they have also had issues with Dilek. My stay was good overall due to Andrea and her staff resolving everything for me multiple times and her staff being so kind and keeping everything under control.

  Very rude people who run apartments manager is extremely rude, no one ever at reception, when we arrived she was sitting with her friends and left us standing, thank goodness for bar staff who helped us, even though the hotel is run by different people so not their job.Pool and bar staff amazing, Andrea and staff are great so friendly, couldn’t do enough for you food and drinks are great, glad they were there made our stay worth while.Safe down by the reception, room hardly cleaned ended up cleaning it ourselves, towel changed twice in our 10 days, they only changed towels because I asked, same with bedding, only had one room key between 3, stairs were wet but no wet floor sign and someone fell down stairs.Manager was arguing with a young lady, the way she spoke to her guest was terrible.I would give the bar and pool 5 stars ??

  We have returned from our 2 week stay at Club Tokmak, unfortunately, our experience was disappointing in several respects. The owner was very unwelcoming and barely interacted with us during our stay, which made us feel uncomfortable rather than like valued guests.We also had a few issues with the property. The batteries had been removed from the air-conditioning remote, which was frustrating and meant we couldn’t use it as expected. We also had concerns about the chemical/acid levels in the pool, which did not appear to be correctly balanced.On a very positive note, the bar area was excellent as always, and the bar staff were absolutely fabulous. Andrea and her team really made a difference to our holiday. They were friendly, welcoming and always there to help — if it wasn’t for Andrea and her staff, we honestly would have been lost. They deserve a huge amount of credit for the way they looked after us and made us feel welcome.It’s such a shame that the issues with the owner and the property overshadowed what could have been a much better experience. A massive thank you to Andrea and the bar staff for being the real highlight of our stay as always ??If you ever get the chance this season please pay 'one for the road bar/restaurant' a visit, it will not disappont. ????

  Another fab stay at Tokmak

  We’ve just had another fantastic stay at Club Tokmak and can’t recommend it enough. It’s a lovely family-run apartment complex with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that’s perfect for a chilled holiday. The pool area is great, and it’s only around a 20-minute walk into the centre, so you’re close enough to everything while still enjoying some peace and quiet.The apartments are basic but have everything you need, and they were kept spotlessly clean every day by the hardworking housekeeping team.This year the bar and restaurant are being run by One For The Road, and Andrea, her husband “Basil”, Maz and Mehmet were all absolutely brilliant. They were so welcoming, attentive and great fun, and they genuinely went out of their way to make sure everyone had a fantastic time. Their hospitality really made our holiday extra special.The food was always hot, freshly cooked and really tasty, with plenty of choice. The drinks selection was excellent too, and we especially loved the little touches, like bringing us an ice bucket for our lunchtime Efes to keep them perfectly cold in the sunshine!If you’re looking for friendly, affordable accommodation with amazing staff and a relaxed atmosphere, Club Tokmak is well worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back!
