  What a fantastic holiday we had

  We stayed at this wonderful hotel between the 7th – 14th September and what a fantastic experience it was. We arrived just before 11pm and so we thought it wouldn’t be possible to have any food or drink, wrong ! 24 hour lobby bar for a well needed gin and tonic and we could get soup and sandwiches down in the restaurant from 11pm. That certainly made us happy. We have a room in one of the chalet type buildings which was spacious and clean, even though it was on the ground floor we had a good view of the sea through the very pretty trees. Our room was turned around everyday with fresh towels, bedding and mini-bar, a big thank you to the housekeeping staff. The hotel and its grounds are vast, probably the biggest hotel I have ever stayed in, so may bars or places to get a drink, refreshments throughout the day as well. Big shout out to the guys at the bar near to the pool, how they remember what drinks you have is just unbelievable and the 2 guys on the rollerblades were just so friendly and your glass didn’t remain empty for long. The food was yet another great experience here to, so much variety, salads, meats etc etc. I would defy anyone who said anything to the contrary, I really enjoyed trying out the different fish that was on offer. Whilst I don’t do puddings, they looked absolutely brilliant, the work the kitchen staff do is just brilliant. The waiters/waitresses also never stopped, a big special thank you to Ishak who looked after us so well, and nothing was ever to much trouble for him, a real gentleman indeed. Continuing with the food, we booked the included a la carte restaurant and chose the Turkish one, food was fantastic but I think they could have done with a few more staff that evening as they just couldn’t keep up with the demand, but it was still really nice. However, the gem of our food experience was the visit to the sea food restaurant, I didn’t realise you had to pay for that but trust me its worth every penny. It was €40 per person (about £35) but for that you got a 4 course meal and your drinks, the food was just divine and the view / scenery is breathtaking. Honestly it’s a must to visit. We didn’t make much use of the pools, the one with less children was pretty deep, 1.6m and boy was it cold. So we made more use of the jetties by the sea, no matter where you wanted to go, no matter what time of day it was, there was always plenty of sunbeds available. I did some snorkelling and it was a great experience. The hidden secret seemed to be the Turkish Baths, we went there on 3 different days and it was practically empty, there is a lovely heated indoor pool (only 1.32m deep), sauna and a steam room. On 2 of the days we had the pool to ourselves, and yes its free. We did visit some of the evening entertainment, albeit we are more inclined to dine out late, but what we did see was good too. Icmeler is within walking distance, albeit the bar / restaurant owners are very pushy to get you to go in, we caught the taxi boat back which was really nice. We caught a bus from outside the hotel into Marmaris one day, for £1 each its well worth it but quite an experience. Overall we had an absolutely fantastic holiday, weather was a bit too hot for me but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back when it’s a bit cooler.   Extremely Disappointing Experience – Unclean Room and Unprofessional Night Manager

  At around 2:00 a.m., we checked into the hotel and discovered that our rooms had not been cleaned. The trash had not even been taken out. We went down to reception and asked to speak with the manager in charge.The receptionist called the night manager, Mr. Ömer, and after waiting for approximately 10 minutes, he finally came down. However, it was very obvious that he had just been woken up, and his attitude and responses completely shocked us.He told us that it was 2:00 a.m. and that nothing could be done at that hour, and that we should simply wait until the morning. We believe that guests checking into a hotel at night have every right to expect their rooms to be clean, tidy, and ready for their stay. Instead of trying to resolve the problem, his attitude was completely unacceptable.We paid for a service and expected nothing more than a clean and properly prepared room. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we will absolutely never stay at this hotel again.We will also be sharing our experience so that other guests are aware and do not have to go through the same disappointment. In our opinion, the quality of a hotel is not only measured by its rooms, but also by how it treats its guests when something goes wrong.

  Amazing holiday - highly recommend!

  We had the best time here, would highly recommend!The check in process was very quick and straightforward and we were very happy with our room. We had a room in the main building on the 1st floor which had a balcony overlooking the main pool and had a sea view. Rooms very clean and spacious. The food we thought was great despite the mixed reviews. They did mix it up each night and put on some different dishes which were all delicious in our opinion, especially the fish and meat dishes and we also loved the breakfast there. The Pine Bar was also good for snacks as well as the iced coffee van which we frequented. There are so many places to get food and drinks from, and the cocktails were great and beer ice cold! Staff were incredibly friendly apart from one or two more miserable staff and most of the team couldn't do enough for you, they all work so hard and really make the experience so fantastic. What we loved was that there was no sun bed challenge, we would have breakfast and then look for beds about 10am and would have absolutely no issue finding them, on our last day we didn't go out until around midday and there were still plenty to choose from. The pools didn't seem too busy either considering it was early-Sept. It was also great to have the two jettys and the private beach which we used a few times and you could swim in the sea. Only downside to this is some families threw bread in to feed the fish which we thought was a bit grim so be mindful you don't get a mouthful of roll when going for a dip. There is also a water taxi you can get from the hotel to Marmaris and Icmeler which was very handy and cheap.Overall we could not fault our stay, we had the best time and can't wait to come back.
