  Small charming establishment on the river

  Charming hotel/bed and breakfast on the riverside, great views of the tombs and easy access road ver swimming which we highly recommend. Co-op boat picks you up from the hotel and takes you to beach and return for 500tl…lovely journey to a great beach.Breakfast is adequate, as mentioned anything except Turkish tea and instant coffee is paid for which bumped our bill up quite a bit as we like our coffee.Rooms small but clean, very friendly owners.

  Super location on the river with the best view of Lycian tombs

  We were 3 weeks in Turkey, and the Happy Caretta Hotel stands out as one of the most memorable places we stayed. The location is stupendous -- right on the river. During the evening, you can sit at a table an look out across the river at lit-up Lycian tombs; during the morning you can sit and have breakfast (an excellent breakfast) and watch the boats go by. The host were friendly, helpful and informative. The room was comfortable. When we were ready to visit Iztuzu beach, our hosts requested that the public ferry pick us up on their dock, and when we returned by public ferry (by the way -- this ferry ride is scenic, relaxing, cheap and highly recommended -- we were able to have them drop us off at the Hotel's dock. We'd love to visit again and stay longer.

  Lovely views from the garden

  Very quaint hotel , room nicely decorated although a little small but ok, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room which is a pain late at night or early morning and any that you request from the bar are chargeable other than at breakfast. As for the grounds, it’s great to see an old fashioned garden within beautiful greenery which is very well maintained . Overall a lovely hotel with beautiful views of the river and tombs.

  SERENIDIPITY REVISITED Was Title

  Serendipity Revisited Val and I have been visiting Dalyan for 18 years.Many many years ago we posted our experience at the “Happy Carretta”on Trip Advisor It is still as peaceful and beautiful as ever. It’s on the river, sucluded, away from the town centre.They make a wonderful pancake, well worth a try.It may not be too everyone’s taste but could add an extra experience to your holiday .Good luck Val and Bill

  Just came back from a lovely round trip from Dalyan to Kas. We stayed at Happy Carretta Dalyan for 2 nights and had such a great time! And couldn't have been happier with the expaerience comfortable cozy and very welcoming Thanks to the owners to make un forgettable mermories .
