    Outstanding cozy hotel.

    rating21 Aug 2026

A fantastic stay at a warm, cozy hotel! We stayed for two nights as two families. Don't come expecting 5 star luxury; instead, it offers a genuine warmth and boutique charm that 5 star hotels simply lack. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was outstanding, easily one of the best I've had in a boutique hotel. At 5 o'clock tea, Jenny's cakes were out of this world; we loved them so much we asked for a second plate. The best part is that the owner is on-site, ensuring everything is well-managed and runs smoothly. Overall, everything was great, and we will definitely be back!

The perfect place to stay, in a perfect destination

    rating26 Jul 2026

Please don’t tell anyone, but Jenny’s House is the gem of the village. Presided over by the eponymous and irrepressible co-proprietor, it has huge charm, great comfort, a perfect location, an even more perfect breakfast, and the expert taking-care of a somewhat undomesticated bachelor such as myself. This is my third time here and I fall in love with the place a little more each time. Selimiye as a place is almost entirely patronised by holidaying Turks, but Jenny and Salih, her co-host, provide a perfect buffer and make the whole wonderful visit entirely comprehensible. Only criticism would be the ache from smiling back at the disarmingly friendly Turks, whose extraordinary hospitality bowls one over. And entirely without cynicism. I look forward to returning to my normal grumpy existence! But as you may gather, I am quite a fan of Selimiye. Jenny Orhan, Owner at Jenny's House, responded to this review Blushing...and bowing deeply. Many thanks for this review. We couldn't do all we do without our fantastic girls...and delightful guests.Jx

Hasn’t changed at all. Super Stay

    rating08 Oct 2020

It’s not often you can return somewhere after 8 years and find it hasn’t changed at all. Jenny’s House is one of the rare occasions. We visit Turkey most years and have always wanted to return here, finally, during Covid, we managed it. Jenny and Saleh cannot be more hospitable, helpful and friendly, and we love the different casual ‘rustic’ ambience of Jenny’s House.Selimiye itself has changed a little since our last visit but it is still small and unspoilt, and in some ways better than before. We thoroughly enjoyed our return visit and hope to return to this friendly, comfortable, ‘no frills’ establishment. Only things I would suggest, in no way detrimental, would be a variation of breakfast (maybe some yogurt or cereal) and to cut back the garden foliage a little, particularly on the room balcony - otherwise BRILLIANT and ThANKS for all your help and a lovely stay. Well recommended Jenny Orhan, Owner at Jenny's House, responded to this review It's always lovely too see guests again...As you say selimiye hasn't changed that much in 8 years probably tidy round the edges now!And your points noted.Let's not leave it another 8 years to see you again!Jenny.

    Full of character

    rating06 Oct 2019

This is a very friendly and charming hotel. Jenny was extremely hospitable and helpful. The rooms are full of rustic charm and very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and all too tempting with homemade preserves and delicious bread from the village. It was served in a shady courtyard, very traditional in character, which was a welcome relief from the hot road outside. The pool was decidedly bracing, no doubt because of the aforementioned shade, but I have come across others much colder. The hotel is very convenient for the village and bay, being only a very short stroll. I mustn't forget the afternoon tea and cakes, also delicious. All in all a great place to stay if you appreciate character over bland luxury. Jenny Orhan, Owner at Jenny's House, responded to this review Thank you Barbara for your kind review. I have only just seen it.We hope to welcome you back to Jenny's House once the virus has abated.

    Deja Vu all over again.

    rating27 Sept 2019

After a 3 year hiatus we decided to return to Jenny's house. Eons ago we explored Turkey's antiquities and it's cultural side. This time I wanted to disengage my brain and relax. I didn't want to take any risks and favoured the almost family like ambiance that made our previous visit to Jenny's so memorable. We were not disappointed. In fact it exceeded our expectations. There's nothing flash about Jenny's. Rustic charm abounds and there's a complete absence of pretentiousness. Jenny herself is a remarkable woman. Where does she get her energy from? she is incapable of forgetting a request and never keeps you waiting for anything. If only she had been prime minister instead of Cameron. This country wouldn't find itself metaphorically standing blindfolded on a precipice, about to flush it's economic future down the toilet. If Manchester United had managed to persuade Jenny to replace Mourinho, their trophy cabinet would be bulging, as opposed to barren.Breakfasts were way beyond adequate, rendering lunch unnecessary. Evening meals?there are plenty of competitively priced restaurants nearby, offering healthy Turkish cuisine. Afternoon tea was accompanied by Jenny's delicious homemade cake, which was most welcome after spending our day either swimming or relaxing with a book, or listening to music. Is there no limit to this woman's talents? The local bus service is cheap and reliable, but why leave Semiliye for somewhere like Marmaris which flaunts Burger King and Macdonald's? It's the complete absence of the corporates that makes Semiliye and in particular Jenny's so appealing. My one complaint about our holiday is that the sea was wet and salty and that it rained on our last full day. Jenny did absolutely nothing about this.
