    Lovely Hotel

    rating23 May 2026

Just returned from 11 nights here with my husband. We had a lovely time with the help of Jake and Justin who are the entertainment crew. They were brilliant and made our holiday. We cant fault this hotel. The food was lovely always something for anyone even if you are fussy. The bar staff were lovely especially Delphine who always takes time to chat to guests. We were on the first floor and the housemaid that serviced our room was lovely she would have tidied our room every if we let her. All in all I would reccomend Piccolo Dream to everyone if you want a quiet holiday. Loved it and will return.

    Shoebox rooms

    rating22 May 2026

Upon arriving just after midnight checked in and went to our room, the carpet in the hall way looked ancient and the smell of cat spray was really bad, opened our room door and immediately phoned down to reception for upgrade for larger room to be told all rooms same size. Very disappointed I also asked for a blanket as it was freezing and only a sheet on the bed to be told 45mins to get one, waited till 2am still no blanket was so tired with waiting I fell asleep. Next morning I asked again for blanket as was still a cold day we were given 2 extra sheets, so had to shop for something to sleep in to keep warm. We noticed that morning we had a half a wardrobe and no draws at all in the room so basically lived out of our suitcases. Spoke to jet2 rep next day saying no wardrobe space and living our of suitcase feels more like being in a hostel definitely not a good hotel if your staying for 2 weeks its more a few nights stay. As with most hotels that are AI food gets repetitive but we ate out a lot, Staff on bar, entertainment and restaurant were all lovey and friendly....would I stay again I wouldn't unfortunately.

    Ten star ⭐

    rating22 May 2026

Hotel was extremely clean and made up each day even if you are late risers. Very accommodating to my needs post procedure (extra pillows, waters etc) Food is nearly always available including snacks and sandwiches made up for late evening snacks. Always a meat and fish option for every meal. Entertainment team Jake and Justin offer daily pool/darts/table tennis. Evenings are karaoke, bingo and some shows. Entertainment staff are always around and available, often taking time to sit at tables and discuss various topics and interests. Justin and Jake are very friendly, very approachable and will do their best to help you with all your needs not limited to entertainment, They will also share knowledge of the area depending on your interests.

    Lovely relaxed hotel

    rating22 May 2026

Came here for a relaxed weekend without the children, and in a different place to our usual hotel. Very nice hotel, lovely surroundings, jack and justin the entertainment staff were brilliant, always made an effort to engage us since day 1 and always spending time with the guests ensuring we were entertained and catered for.Food at the hotel was very good, lovely salad bar and a nice variety of foods on offer.Service staff were very friendly and nothing we asked for was an issue, especiqlly delfin who always had a smile on her face. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and just what we needed

    Repetitive but friendly

    rating22 May 2026

Just back from a 2 week stay at Piccolo and our 2nd stay here overall. We clearly enjoy staying at this hotel as we have returned from staying a previous year, and we did have an amazing 2 weeks with friends but there is some notes to add. The hotel has improved in certain aspects since our first stay in 2024 - kettles and coffee/tea now provided in rooms, more entertainment in the evenings etc, but speaking of entertainment it is unfortunately very repetitive, especially if you are staying more than 1 week. The entertainment you see during week 1 of your stay will be exactly the same for week 2, while I understand it is probably easier to rinse and repeat, especially for guests who only have a week minimum stay, it can get boring and you spend most of your 2nd week going out or going to bed early. Also the bingo and football card costs £5 per person per night which adds up throughout your stay if you choose to play and not win. The food is also repetitive from week to week, which is fine and there is always something for everyone, although I will add that the chefs need to start tasting their own food before serving, as we did experience a lot of food was very salty, we had one particular day where mash was served and we did need to complain as it tasted like the potatoes had been boiled in sea water. The location is perfect for us as it is only a 5 minute walk down onto the beach front, bus stop at bottom of road to catch buses to Bazaar and Icemeler, but if you are someone who struggles physically the hotel sits atop a large hill and may be difficult for some people. Just wanted to add that Eddie is your absolute go to guy for anything you may need during your stay. He is always happy to help, and he is extremely approachable and friendly. Also Delfin on the bar is an angel, friendliest bar staff of the bunch and always welcomes you with a smile. The hotel overall is very clean, although sometimes the cleaners do not pay heed to the do not disturb signs and will still try to enter the room when you are inside and/or asleep during the day. Would we return to this hotel in the future? Yes probably, as it is ideal for us, but if you’re someone who plans to stay in the hotel the whole duration of your holiday just bare all of this in mind.
