    Excellent Location

    rating25 Aug 2026

We stayed at this hotel for a week while on holiday and found the location and services great. The hotel is perfectly located for the train station which is a short ride away from Sorrento in one direction and Naples and Pompeii in the other. It’s also extremely central to Vico Equense which has several exceptional restaurants just a short walk away. The hotel overlooks the cliff side and has stunning views of the scenery. While the hotel doesn’t have a pool, we found the private beach was perfect for us. Each day, you are provided with sun loungers and an umbrella free of charge, as well as the option to book the shuttle to take you to and from the beach. While the walk is steep, it doesn’t take very long and we opted to walk most days. The walk back is much more manageable if you go up the steps and through the car park, which takes you to the back entrance of the hotel. There is an option to reserve the jacuzzi at the hotel, which looked beautiful, however, we did not have time to make use of this.We found everything in the hotel very clean and the air conditioning in the room was excellent. The staff were kind and attentive. The breakfast buffet is basic but there are more than enough options of hot and cold options for everyone. We didn’t make use of this every day as we wanted to try as many food places as possible but enjoyed it on the days we did. We found our room quiet, and while the hotel is near to roads, we did not find that we were disturbed by this. Overall, this hotel was a great option in a quiet and beautiful town. It is great as a base for exploring locations such as Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, however, it is equally a beautiful town to stay in itself. While we travelled across several towns and areas, we found the best and most authentic food was served in Vico Equense itself. Great hotel and excellent value for money!

    hotel with private beach

    rating08 Aug 2026

It's an excellent location, steps from the train. It has a private beach accessible by bus from the hotel, or a 7-minute walk. The hotel staff were very helpful, especially with our luggage before and after check-out. The bathroom has a very uncomfortable and old bathtub that makes bathing unpleasant. But overall it's a very comfortable room with a beautiful terrace and a mini bar (extra charge). I would only recommend that the bar be outside rather than inside, considering they have so many terraces outside that they don't use. I like the breakfast. See you soon.

    Great location

    rating29 Jul 2026

July 26 stayed at this hotel. Great choice for location and accommodation. Acces to all the local boat trips, Amalfi and Positano, the hotel staff helped to book the best boat trip to Capri. Train and bus service easy to use and very close to hotel. Vivo Equense small town which is easily walkable into and around lots of bars and restaurants varies from pasta/pizza to delicious Italian cuisine. The hotel itself is big, clean but a little dated with an eclectic collection of decor. The hotel staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful, particularly reception who were more than happy to answer questions. There is no pool, rather free use of the beach area which is down a rather big hill. The hotel does have a private van/bus service to and from the hotel which is bookable. Vico equense is the perfect location for the Sorento area. Sorento is easily accesssble by bus or train and is a quite a large town which was very busy. The Amalfi and Positano, both a must see and beautiful areas were extremely busy and crowded as was capri. Pompei again, easily accessible by train, a guided tour is recommended but it was exposed to the sun, little shade and very hot.

    Dreadful

    rating22 Jul 2026

Stayed here for 11 nights in July of this year. Absolutely dreadful. We were given a room on the terrace which was basically a step up from a garden shed. The bathroom was disgraceful with outdated fittings, chipped tiles, mould on the shower curtain and the shower in the middle of the bath which flooded. The main door to the room had holes in it. After 3 nights here we could take no more and asked to be moved. The room we were given in the same area was actually worse. It resembled a cave. No wardrobe, storage space or wi-fi. The walls were actually crumbling with plaster falling off. Again we challenged this and were told on booking we had booked an economy room when in fact we had booked a classic room with a balcony. After 5 nights we were eventually given the correct room. There were no apologies forthcoming from the manager. Parts of this Hotel would be condemned in any other country. The breakfast was also poor. Watered down juices and cold scrambled egg. Some of the breads and pastries were also stale. This hotel despite its fabulous location should be avoided at all costs.

    Fantastic Staff

    rating10 Jul 2026

This hotel is lovely. It has fantastic views over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. It is spotlessly clean and the towels have a soft feel. The food was good, only thing is they could do with changing the dinner menu a little. It gets a bit repetitive but you can ask for a change. We had a roof terrace with fabulous views of the sunset especially. The reception staff were exceptional, very helpful and always pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were extremely helpful when we had issues with a Tui excursion. The restaurant staff were also extremely friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming. It’s in a convenient spot for public transport. Highly recommend using the train as it is literally footsteps away from the hotel. We had a lovely week here and the bonus was the use of the beach for two days with a parasol/2 loungers. Plus the hot tub but you need to book it! I highly recommend this hotel with its amazing views and excellent staff.
