  Somewhere to stay.

  Seemed ok but then we didn't stay in long. Only used the hotel for somewhere to leave our belongings. Apparently no double beds so we had to join two single ones which kept coming apart. Breakfast was an extra as was everything else, seemed as though they were only interested in making money. Staff seemed helpful and friendly though. First of all, Sebnem Apartments operates strictly on a 'Self-Catering' model, not a standard hotel model. In self-catering accommodation across Marmaris and its surrounding areas, amenities like breakfast, air conditioning, and safes are always optional extras. Booking platforms clearly display that our prices are for the room only, with a paid breakfast option available at the booking stage. Complaining about this structure simply shows a lack of knowledge regarding how self-catering properties function.Not only do you display a clear lack of knowledge, but since you were completely aware of these options and saw the breakfast price on the screen while booking, I fail to understand why you are complaining about it now after returning home.As for your comment about our beds; had you carefully looked at the official room images on our booking platforms before making a reservation, you would have easily noticed that all our apart and studio rooms feature single beds. If there were a single double-bed photo online, you would be right, but there isn't.Regarding your remark that 'we only seem interested in making money'—WHICH TAX-PAYING COMMERCIAL BUSINESS HAVE YOU EVER SEEN WORKING FOR FREE? This place is not a soup kitchen or a charity to give everything away for free; this is a commercial business. But you should also know this: if there is anyone who genuinely needs help and a meal to eat, we will always help them and we won't charge them a single cent. However, as a commercial business, we must charge for our services to pay our staff and maintain our property.We are glad you found our location ideal and our rooms clean for leaving your belongings.   Had a lovely 10 nights stay at Sebnam Apartments.Staff friendly and helpful, apartment ideal for our needs and very clean as was the pool.Perfect location for beach and walking into Marmaris plus the Old Town.Would definitely stay again.   We have just got back from a great 2 weeks stay at the Sebnem. Jack and all the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We have already booked for next year so see you next year ????   Basic but functional

  The positive's are that Sebnem is in an ideal location with easy access to everything, the apartments are very clean, as is the pool and bar area. The room was basic but functional and exactly what we needed as a self catering couple. The cleaner works extremely hard and was incredibly friendly whenever we said hello to her. Unfortunately there’s a few things that didn’t quite sit well with me, the room we were in had 2 air con units (1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom) and while I absolutely expected a charge for these due to the electric prices the hotel has to pay, £60 for use of ONLY ONE air con unit I found to be extremely unreasonable. (But we purchased anyway due to the Turkish heat as a necessity) Had this price been for both units I would have been more comfortable with paying that amount. No card payments in a hotel in 2026? I mean come on? This wasn’t stated anywhere online or at the hotel stating cash only. Only after we ordered 2 drinks, and asked to pay, we were told about this. We had to go to the ATM and withdraw money which with the fees at cash points, which we wanted to avoidDue to not carrying cash, we were unwilling to buy anything else at the bar after this until the last day after using our last lira. I feel the atmosphere changed and certain staff members seemed to become rather dismissive of us as guests unless we were paying at the bar However I did find Volkan and the young lad on reception to be very friendly on arrivalI would only return if the aircon was charged more reasonably and card payments were accepted. I hope the team take my honest feedback onboard and maybe we will return Sevket Onay, Isletme Sahibi at Sebnem Apart Hotel, responded to this review "Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay, and we are glad you enjoyed our location, cleanliness, and the friendliness of Volkan and our housekeeping team.However, we would like to clarify a few points. Regarding the air conditioning, our weekly fee of £60 is one of the most competitive rates in this area, where neighboring hotels charge up to £70–£80. Air conditioning is an entirely optional service here; we only rent it out if a guest requests it, and we never force anyone to purchase it. We specifically installed two separate units in our top-floor rooms to give our guests the comfort and option to rent whichever unit they prefer based on their needs. We put two units there for your convenience and choice, not to create a reason for complaints. If we charged £60 for both units, it would mean only £30 per unit, and with current electricity prices, the hotel would have to pay the rest of your bill out of our own pocket, which is not sustainable.As for our bar policy, we never check or care about what our guests spend. Our absolute policy is to treat every single guest with the exact same respect, whether they sit at our bar every night or never spend a single Lira. We do not engage in any 'hassle' or change our attitude based on spending.Lastly, you mentioned you would return if our air conditioning prices were lowered. We give you our word: the moment electricity costs in Türkiye miraculously drop back to what they were 10 years ago, we will happily lower our prices! But considering that diesel fuel was 90 Liras per liter just last week and has already crossed the 100 Lira threshold in some cities as we write this response, a price drop seems quite unlikely anytime soon.
