  Excellent Hotel

  I booked a week Bed and Breakfast, first time I have stayed at this hotel .The hotel was and service from staff was excellent, I arrived late at night the night reception man was very friendly and explain very thing about the hotel.The choice of food was excellent at the breakfast at the hotel chef made great omelettes.I will return to this hotel on future holidays to Marmaris

  A Gem of a hotel.

  A last minute booking for us, 14 nights with Jet2 holidays. Having not been to Turkey before we relied on reviews to pick our hotel. This one appealed as it was bed & breakfast as we like to do our own thing in the evening and experience different restaurants. So based on what we read we chose Sunrise. And it did not disappoint. I would describe the hotel as a small boutique style of hotel with only 4 floors. Located directly on the promenade with access to its own private piece of sand/shale beach. The front of the hotel is set back off the main Marmaris strip with plenty of free parking.It has a large pool deck with plenty of sun loungers which have excellent comfortable cushions on them. Not once in the 14 days did we struggle to get a sun lounger by the pool, there are also plenty on the beach. The pool is a nice size, 1.5 metres deep. The water initially is quite cold but once in it brings perfect relief from the hot sun. The rooms are a nice size, nicely furnished, modern and absolutely spotless. Nice balcony, ours had a sea view looking at Marmaris marina. The bathroom, again very modern, sink, toilet, hairdryer, toiletries and a large shower which was probably one of the most powerful I have ever experienced with plentiful hot water.The included breakfast is a buffet, with so much choice you could dine for hours! Special mention goes to the chef who is an expert at producing egg dishes to perfection and may I say a thoroughly nice gentleman.The hotel does not provide an evening dining option which suited us as we like to dine out. There is however food available at the pool area during the day until 5pm and is very popular. Here the food choice is extensive and if you like pizza you must try their bolognese variety, it is stunning. The centre of activity is the pool bar, which is expertly staffed by people who cannot do enough for you. Choice of drinks is extensive and cocktails are excellent. The bar is open every night until midnight.The hotel has a couple of quirks for such a nice and expertly run establishment. The in-room digital safe has a charge of £1 a night for its use. Pool towels have to be collected from reception and if you want them changed there is a charge. My recommendation would be to bring your own or go across the road to the many shops that sell them cheaply.But I would also add here that this is the only hotel that I have stayed in that changes the bed linen daily.The whole place is spotless.We spoke to several guests who just keep returning to the hotel, some several times a year, they love it that much.For us it was a perfect chilled out and relaxing holiday. What makes this hotel is its staff. They are excellent. Would we return? See you next year.

  First Time at Sunrise. We will return

  We have travelled to Marmaris many times and always stayed all inclusive up until nowDue to me messing up with bookings, I ended up having to take a gamble on the Sunrise hotel. This was on a bed and breakfast only basis, but it was less than half the price of what we would’ve paid for all inclusive.We arrived at the hotel late and the gentleman on reception Kenan was very friendly and explained everything. We were shown to our room by the night porter who explained all the controls and set up the safe for us.The room was very clean and spacious I would say if I had one gripe it would be a slight lack of storage space but nothing serious.The hotel was really well placed about halfway along the beach and was very quiet.The following morning breakfast was fantastic and it was every day for the 10 days. The selection of food was excellent. The chef made super omelete and you could eat as much as you wanted, setting you up for the day.The pool bar was well run. The staffed there are excellent and really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them.The snacks available around the pool were reasonably priced and very good quality.Being the first time for us to go on a bed and breakfast basis we actually saved money overall . This included eating out at different restaurants every night, drinks at the bar in the daytime and snacks and the whole thing cost us less than it would’ve done just for the all-inclusive at one of the bigger hotels.We really enjoyed our 10 days at the Sunrise and we will return in the future.

  Beautiful hotel

  Lovely clean hotel also the friendly staff especially Channel and his son Charlie made the holiday memorable nothing was too much trouble. I traveled alone to meet up with friends and it can be daunting but the beautiful kind Turkish people were very helpful. Breakfast was brilliant with lots of choices, I particularly loved the freshly made omelette, the chef was excellent and always pleasant. Overall a great holiday. Thank you hopefully I will return.

  We’ve been going to the Sunrise for many years and can’t fault our home from home. Yes little things change but it’s the staff that make this hotel so special. Yes prices have gone up but are still cheaper than here. The breakfast is simply the best. The chef is so friendly and makes the perfect omelette. The bar and beach staff are first class. The cleaners are lovely, always keeping your room clean and tidy. Thanks to all our friends at the Sunrise and see you next year.
